Lower Farm House is located in rural West Oxfordshire, 90 minutes drive from London. It is quiet, and the night sky is incredible, with majestic sunsets.
The house is very comfortable, recently renovated, with five bedrooms sleeping up to fourteen people.
First floor two large ensuite double bedrooms, one with a sofa bed, two twin rooms with wash hand basins & a large shared bathroom with shower and bath.
Ground floor has an easy access bedroom with two single, one double bed, and space for a fold-up bed, with adjacent walk-in shower.
A fully equipped cottage kitchen.
A large dining room with access to the beautiful private garden.
An elegant farmhouse sitting room with an open fire.
Catering options are available on request (for special occasions).
The Lower Farm House is owned by a charity, so your stay will help contribute to transforming the lives of young people as all profits go towards youth development work.

Wonderful stay
We had a lovely time and the house was perfect for our needs. The air hockey/pool/football table was a welcome surprise and kept the kids happy for hours and the enclosed garden was a great space for them to run around. We will definitely be visiting again.

Three families stayed here over the New Year’s Eve weekend and we all had a lovely stay. The cottage was perfect for our needs, in a lovely location and warm and cosy. It was well equipped and very comfortable. Would consider returning and definitely highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The garden was delightful. There was ots of attention to detail such as outdoor games for little and bug children, great selection of tea and coffee, shower gels. Bbq area was lovely and also under cover. Lots of outside seating.Very pretty location. Owners were very helpful if anything was needed. A comfortable and relaxing place to say and good value for money.

Most memorable stay!
This was an outstanding experience. The property is gorgeous. It has five bedrooms very very good sized with ensuite bathrooms. The setting is rural and gives a lot of space to roam around both in the field and around the cottage. The host is excellent and the entire arrangement is outstanding. Highly recommend

Gorgeous property - great for groups
We spent a weekend at lower farm with a group of friends. The bedrooms were well laid out and there was plenty of room for everyone. The children loved the air hockey table and the adults loved being able to socialise around the huge dining room table. It was such a lovely house to stay in, I would recommend it to everyone. The only sad thing is that we only got to stay there two nights. It was so lovely I didn’t want to leave

Our host was responsive to any questions I had before we got there. Jurie met us at check in and was very friendly and helpful. The house was clean, garden lovely and had a wonderful bbq with the bbq they had on site. Will definitely try and stay again in future!

Warm and comfortable old farmhouse. Beds were really good with lovely patchwork quilts. The children loved the combined table football/air hockey/ pool table. Great garden for ball games. Julie went out of his way to meet our requirements. We had a wonderful family get together and would love to return.

A lovely comfortable house which is spacious and suited the wide range of ages who stayed. Lovely garden - perfect for cricket and football. Countryside is just beautiful and we watched the barn owl flying around most evenings. Delightful easy walking and good pubs all local. Visited National Trust house and Kelmscott Local bakery well worth a visit. Thank you

Great place for friends reunion
Property was great with good space for 14 adults. Garden just perfect for some outdoor games & chill time. Good to have social space in living room & sofas in the dining room too. The sofa bed was really good quality - not always the case, so well appreciated. Clear instructions & helpful check in. Only small items for suggested improvement : a little extra cutlery/crockery and perhaps time for a new oven ? It really did take an hour to heat up (which we were advised about) & cooking took a lot longer! Overall this was a super super place, hence the high rating! Thank you for making some old friends very happy !!

Amazing house!
We hired this property for my mums surprise 60th! Everything was perfect, from the first messages with the owner to him meeting us at the house the service was amazing! All rooms were supplied with fresh bedding towels and shower gels, plenty of tea coffee sugar toilet rolls. This house was perfectly suited for all ages we had staying, the grounds were great for children playing and adults relaxing! We planned our weekend around staying in the house but I would defiantly come back to this property and explore more, there’s a couple of pubs just a 10minute walk which we didn’t manage to fit in but looked beautiful when we drove past! Thanks Jurie for all messages back and forth and making us all feel super welcome.

Beautiful Building
This was a beautiful property and a very worthy cause. But some essentials information was incorrect. There are no hair dryers. You cant play pool as the cue has no tip. There is a limited selection of kitchen knives. No carving knife so dont do a roast. No veg knife. We had to cut things with the cheese knives and bread knife.There is no tablespoons to serve with. No gravy boats for sauses. No meat platter to serve a roast on. No platters to serve a buffet on. A table cloth would be nice. We were told that the house would be fully trimmed up for christmas but it was a bit of a let down as they were a bit sparse and the tree had no lights. The disabled suite on the ground floor has a door knob which is difficult to turn, my disabled daughter got stuck in there as she couldnt turn the knob. The property itself is beautiful even with the above problems. But I think for over 2½K for 3 night we expected a bit of a higher standard.
