"Richard was a great host though there were quite a lot of strict rules sent before fhe stay and during which made us feel a bit on edge! Felt a bit like someone had let us stay in their home rather than we were paying guests. But the house is immaculate and grand so I can see why care is needed. The area is very quiet and theres not alot in the nighbouring towns. Probably Alnwick a 15-20 min drive away is your biggest town. You need to be self carering but kitchens well equipped. "This is a large farmhouse that can host a big group. It is very comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the property but be aware that it is part of a group of houses, so you have neighbours next door... This is not a major issue and made up by the great views. Perhaps one suggestion would be to add a BBQ grill, and a new frying pan... The location is great and the town of Anwick a gem to visit. We really enjoyed Nothumberland!"

"Barn Cottage was the perfect venue for our winter get away with friends. The property comfortable accommodated our party of eight. It is tastefully furnished and had excellent facilities including gym, tennis, table tennis and spa pool.Its an easy short stroll into Bamburgh and proved to be a great base from which to explorevthe area.
