"We had a great stay overall. The check-in was the easiest and quickest we have experienced in quite some time. There was free coffee / tea available by the reception all day, a very nice touch in the cold. The sauna in the central building is spacious and convenient. We also had a private sauna in the beach house we stayed in - this was an amazing surprise (should be called out in the room's details!). In terms of location, both Sommaroy island and the hotel are great - to enjoy the scenery and to hunt for the northern lights. The only suggestion we would have is to maybe install dimmer street / outside building lights if possible - I imagine a lot of people visit for the northern lights, which are more difficult to see due to light pollution (especially when external building lights are accidentally left turned on)."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Moxy. The hotel is very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed it was so far from the City center, but once we figured out the transportation system, it was quite easy to get around. It is probably walkable to the center in the warmer months."

"This was a one night stay until our other hotel, on the docks, was available the next day. It's a great little hotel for all the basics - the beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, water was hot and everything was clean. The location is really good and just a few minutes walk to the docks (but not the water and mountain view I was looking for). The room is small and for a couple you wouldn't really spend time in it rather than sleeping, because of its size, but there is a communal room downstairs with large TV and tea/coffee is always available there as well."

"Totally amazing hotel in every way - friendly service, really helpful for storing bags (before and after check in/out), amazing location right on the docks and by the bus station. Also the cable car shuttle bus goes from outside, as well as our whale tour. Everything is 'just along the road' or you might already be right by it! 7-11 stores, tourist information etc etc. We had a family room which happened to be on 11th floor. The view was amazing and we enjoyed just spending time in the room with a drink, looking out at the views. The beds were really comfy and the linen so good I considered buying some! My son was on a double sofa bed which he said was really comfortable too. I liked that there was an 'open divide' section where the TV was one side and desk on the other - it gave us privacy. We also had a table and 4 chairs, fridge (mini bar), kettle and coffee machine. Toiletries were in refillable canisters on the wall and the hotel is actively trying to reduce it's energy usage - they had their recent reduction achievements on the breakfast restaurant wall. Breakfast was huge and delicious. So much choice and everything was sparkling clean in the dining room. The times for breakfast were really good too - meaning you could have a bag to take away if before 7am, and sit down breakfast until 11am - perfect if you've had a late night aurora hunting. There are cheaper hotels, but I doubt you'd find better. Well worth the splurge."

"The room was terrific. The overbooked our level of room so we were upgraded for the first night. Only a slight hassle to move the next day but both rooms were large, comfortable and well maintained. Perhaps the best part about the stay was the breakfast buffet. It is included in the room and I have never seen so many food options at any buffet. It was all delicious. The location on the water was a big plus and we never had to venture far to get to the meeting point for our tours."
