"Beautiful hotel with fantastic gym, pool and spa facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared and we ate in the bar and menu was extensive and food delicious. Look forward to staying here again soon."

"The rooms were old and needed major upgrades. The beds were ancient. The stairs up and down, little hallways, and more stairs, throughout the hotel were like a maze. The bartenders and wait staff were excellent and the location was good. But there are much better choices for the amount we paid."

"We stayed here 3 nights with our 3 month old. From the moment we arrived the staff were very cheerful and accommodating. We don't usually go for breakfast when away but as it was included we thought why not?! Breakfast was tasty, good variety of options especially as I'm a vegetarian. The staff set us up a table away from everyone with our baby where there was plenty of space for the pushchair, definite bonus. "This property has been refurbished but some thought needed to be put into the bathroom for 302. You have a hard time finding the soap dispenser. It’s closer to the toilet than the sink. The cleaning staff do an excellent job & I would stay here again. Our biggest complaint was the bar area. The food was typical. But the staff seemed inattentive. We were offered free coffee but by the time we found someone to ask for our check we had been there long enough & went to bed. "

"From the moment we arrived we were very impressed with this hotel, grounds and surroundings. From the friendly doorman to Dermot the concierge who took our bags, ordered our taxis etc, to the lovely receptionists and that was before we took in the beautiful decor, comfort and layout of bars and restaurants and before we got to our bedroom which was more like a suite as was huge with a lovely view of the estate. The food was excellent and it was lovely to chill in the little bar area at reception...

"The reception staff was friendly, helpful, and informative during check in. The breakfast staff was also responsive. I had to go to the bar to get a menu. The fish and chips were good. I had to ask for my bill. The room was good but the bathroom had plumbing issues. I would stay again for the overall value. "

Large and clean room

"Staying in a newly refurbished room on the 3rd floor, everything was fresh and clean (though the pattern on the new carpet makes it look a bit threadbare in places). The fish and chips dinner was large and well cooked but the apple crumble dessert was disappointing as it was a small tart that seemed to have just been warmed up in a microwave and the ‘smudge’ of custard on the plate was barely enough to fill a teaspoon. Breakfast was plentiful and top quality, service for both dinner and breakfast was excellent. "
