"This hotel was in a lovely location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean near to the stunning Beara Peninsula - the exploring of which was an unexpected highlight of our 13 night tour of the Irish Republic. The hotel itself was rather like stepping back in time to the faded glamour of a begone era. I felt like I could have been in an extra in an Agatha Christie novel. It was very charming with beautiful pieces of antique furniture dotted around but don't expect mod-cons and - as hinted earlier - some updating of facilities at this price point wouldn't go amiss. But all in all we had a very pleasant stay topped off by breakfast served in a lovely airy dining area overlooking pretty gardens."
