"Our room was wonderful - clean and spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly. The top pool area was restful. There was no restaurant facility and the trek to and from the Fairmont Hotel tiresome, having to wait for both a buggy and minibus to get us from the Lodge to the Hotel and vice versa."

"The property was perfectly situated for easy access to/from Durban airport (max. 15 minutes drive away on nearby N2). Staff were friendly and helpful and check-in/out was easy. Nice (basic) swimming pool which was welcome on a hot & sticky day. Basic food/drinks (snacks) were available and were perfectly acceptable to us. It was very convenient as a transit stop and would be happy to stay again in the location for that reason. There were only a very few minor issues noted - although tea/coffee...

"I stayed 4 nights at hotel Izulu and it was the BEST accommodations I have ever experienced. The hospitality , location , rooms and all amenities truly are world class. The food is AMAZING! We dined for breakfast, lunch and 2 night in the restaurant. We had a dinner designed and created for us that I have never experienced anything like. "Although my expedia reservation clearly stated 'room', what was available for me was a tent (containing two beds). I arrived too late to go elsewhere. It was disconcerting to hear drunk male tourists stumbling around the tent when I was trying to sleep without being able to lock the door (zipper). The hotel staff were perfectly friendly but nowhere to be found within an hour of checking in. It was an extremely uncomfortable, noisy, and unpleasant night. I expect for groups looking for budget...
