We sat outside for evening meal, garden bit overgrown and meal felt rushed but food was good. Breakfast was basic, just croissant, coffee, juice and bread. Good location for exploring the area."

"We stopped for one night on our way back to the UK. Langeais is a very pretty small town on the Loire with a beautiful Chateau in the centre. La Fleur de Lys is a small hotel right in the centre. Our room was good sized, well equipped and very clean. It also had the facility to make hot drinks in the room - which is not always the case in France. "Quick one night stop over on route from UK via Cherbourg to Dordogne. 2 adults 3 young kids. We booked the wooden Summerhouse/Chalet because it was more fun for the kids. We got exactly what we booked, perfect. Our host was very friendly and helpful given our poor spoken French. Woke up with the song from the birds in the woods. Breakfast was perfect, great coffee, freshly baked bread, home made jams, apricots, yoghurts and pain au chocolat."
