"This has always been a nice hotel to stay in, very central in Inverness and right alongside the railway station (which is why I use it, as a resident elsewhere in the Highlands). It was grand once, and they are working hard to keep it in good condition, but it has a slightly worn feel, with signs of damp around the shower for example. "Friendly staff, easy 15ish minute walk into city centre. Room was simple and bed comfortable. Felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Appreciated that they had a lift and could hold my bags for a bit after checkout. "

Nice hotel with excellent service from the staff

"All of the staff were extremely friendly. I am coeliac and I really appreciate the gluten free station for breakfast. There was something to suit everyone for breakfast from fresh fruit to traditional full Scottish/ continental. We also had our evening meal in the hotel and the waiting staff obviously took my dietary requirement seriously and checked with the chef if my choice of meal was safe for me to eat. This is our second stay at the hotel and will return again. The bed was very comfortable. We were on the third floor so there was no noise from the street. Didn’t book a river view as only there for one night. The room was clean with a modern shower/ toilet but would benefit from a bit of an upgrade as the carpet was a bit tired looking. This did not detract from our stay and we will certainly return. "
