Our room was great, and the Inn Keeper, Amy, was absolutely lovely. Our second day there, our golf cart wouldn’t charge and we noticed the cord had been pulled from the main box. We reported this to the front desk. It wasn’t our doing, but as a renter we understood that we were responsible. The Marsh Harbor male and female owner both left messages to contact them to discuss the issue. No problem on my end until Mr Derrick, male owner of MHI, was rude, said he “had a hard time believing my story” as if I were lying, and when I questioned his comment, he screamed “I didn’t call you a liar, lady.” When I told him I’d have my husband follow-up on Monday he hung up the phone. After speaking with a very apologetic BHI Services, it’s clear the owners never should have called, simply reported it to the property manager (BHI services) who would handle. And, had they followed protocol, I can assure you this would have been a more positive review. We will never stay at MHI or recommend it to anyone. After over 8 years and countless rentals each year at BHI, this has been an absolutely horrible experience. Do not support MHI.
