Nice hotel / staff .. bad food
"The hotel was nice .. beach ,territory ,views from the room were fabulous.. the staff and service are great .. However the breakfast and dinner buffet are very low quality and we canceled them for the next days .. and we were refunded.."

Great place and staff
"The property is really great. It’s quiet and close to Mon Choisy beach. The service from the staff was excellent. They have sister hotel which has very nice restaurant (Le Skipper). I used a rental car but I think you can still manage with public bus nearby."

"Great apartment. Very quiet. Well maintained. Very helpful host. Regular cleaning. Only downside is it’s a bit of a walk to the beach/town but they do offer a shuttle if you need it. We had a hire car so it wasn’t really a problem."

We took two enjoyable day trips to see several "must-see" parts of Mauritius, but we spent most of our time enjoying The Ravenala Attitude facilities and romantic manicured tropical grounds. We felt little need to explore the Balaclava environs.

It's a good location to do things in the North and in Port Louis. To go South of the Island you have to beat the traffic which can be a nightmare.

Pretty much the dirty armpit of Mauritius, which has a lot of armpits.
