Situated in the Peak District in the centre of Youlgrave, this charming 250 year old cottage is ideal for walkers, cyclists and those looking for a relaxing break or a touring base from which to explore. The property boasts the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark, making this the ideal choice for those interested in an eco-friendly environment. The owner, who lives on-site, is at hand if you should need any advice about the local area or help with any issue that may arise.
Youlgrave is a village of limestone buildings and an impressive 12th century church, with three pubs, a village shop/tea room, vegetarian bakery, post office and garage, located above Lathkill and Bradford Dales. On an 11-mile radius it takes in the market towns of Buxton, Ashbourne and Chesterfield and is in close proximity to Bakewell and Matlock. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are both a short drive away and well worth the visit, and the former can also be reached within a very pleasant 40-minute walk. Shop and restaurant 200 yards, pub 100 yards.
