Great but a few changes would be Great
WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!1. The back deck rod iron fence could use some 2x6 topping. Very dangerous for Seniors and careless drunks. 2. Bottom 2 Steps to Cane creek on backside are missing. 3. Walkway to cane creek on front could use a railing of some sort. 4. More than one remote would be nice. 5. Blinds or Curtains on main floor would be nice. 6. A mirror on the road for traffic coming from the curve. 7. Spigot on parking side leaks badly into the basement. We used the spigot to drown fire pit. 8. Screens on all windows so we could enjoy the air flow.9. Vacuums that worked so we could clean dog hair and walkin dirt. We would DO IT AGAIN!!!

Memorial Getaway
Great place. Great communication with owner. Peaceful place to just chill out. We spent time hiking roan mountain range which is very close and spent a afternoon floating in the river with Loafers Glory Rafting and Tubing. House had a few minor quirks but to be expected with older properties. Over all highly recommended.

Dwell among history!
'Rented for a team I hired for a project in the vicinity. There are 3 private rooms, and 6 "beds" pretty much in one large area. My team loved it with the only negative comment being that traffic was a constant awareness but what do you expect being located right on the road -- proximity was the reason we chose it! 'Gorgeous of mix bare-bones, rusticness and thoughtful amenities.

Needed a large place to stay for a diverse group of family and friends. Met our needs perfectly. Adam was a great host.

Great for the active
A truly unique property in a special part of the world. If you are looking for an unusual and active holiday then thoroughly recommend staying at Old Masters Mill. It has been thoughtfully restored and renovated to make a comfortable living space and to offer a taste of the outdoors right on the doorstep. The creek is beautiful and the waterfall gently lulls you to a state of relaxation. The road is quite busy but you soon adjust to the pace of Loafers Glory and it’s comings and goings. Recommend Roan High Knob and anywhere on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Crabtree Falls are a memorable experience and were one of our highlights. If you fancy a trip further afield, Asheville has a surprisingly active arts community by the river, truly something for everyone!
