"Hotel Splendid is an excellent hotel in an excellent Dax location. Many restaurants and shops within 2-5 minute walk, the hotel was classic art deco design. Very comfortable, modern bathroom, nice towels. Will return"

"If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "

"Hotel had nice upgrades to common space w/ indoor pool/spa and sauna. Breakfast area was nice, but we didn't have breakfast any of the mornings. Rooms are tiny, but apparently standard for France. Hotel is in a weird industrial area, but quiet. Eery at night, but seemingly safe and totally fine. Sleepy town. "

"This is a great hotel if you are travelling to or from Spain as it is in a quiet area with easy access to the main route. The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms with tea/coffee making facilities and large beds. Bathrooms have bath as well as shower and excellent hot water and also complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. Breakfast was very good and the room was very pleasant. "Nice, clean property with air conditioned rooms. Very comfortable and a nice view of the lake. My only comment is that is it not close to many restaurants, but this is no issue if you have your own car."

"Clean property with terrace and parking just at the door. Appreciated to have a kitchenette and a frigobar. The only suggestion to improve the experience would be to decorate a bit the rooms. If not, perfect, everything was new!"

"We absolutely love this place. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you to Martine and Bruno for being excellent hosts. The accomodation was well equipped, there was an amazing pool , a ping pong table and a games room which entertained all the children. We spent most of the time outside near the pool and in the annexe which had a kitchen. We stayed in the main house which was plenty big enough to accommodate us all.
