"We were looking for a place that could accommodate our family of five for a visit to Coiba. Dawn and Aly’s casita was perfect. It’s a 25 or so minute drive into Santa Catalina but you’re a very short walk to the local beach and the hotel next door is a great spot to grab a bite or drinks. Communication was super easy and very quick responses. The villa was just as described, very private, and we had no problems at all. We would stay there again if we return to the area."

"The property was as pictured, but the solar power was not sufficient. We only used the fans at night, but in the street side bedroom the batteries ran out after a couple of hours. The manager only spoke Spanish, so explaining the battery operation was difficult. Ants and insects quickly invaded even though we kept our food in the freezer. We felt the property was over priced for what we got. About Pixvae. Know that Pixvae is very hot! The breeze stops when the sun goes down, but the temperature does not cool off much. We found it very difficult to sleep with the heat, barking dogs, roosters and howler monkeys. The locals are friendly, but only speak Spanish, so if you don't, communicating will be difficult."

"Visited for 4 nights and would recommend above the other hotels in Santa Catalina. A very relaxed atmosphere with great pool and restaurant area to hang out. "

"A little bit out of the village (15-20 minute walk in) but a much better location than some in the village since it is directly beach front. Room was small but perfect for us, 2 bedside tables with reading lamps which was nice. Be sure to request a room with a balcony, even though we had a standard double room it still came with one, some do not. Julio was amazing full of information and always willing to help out. We ate in the dining room the first night, it was quite busy, we were the 4th table sat and it took 52 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered. Be prepared, go early if you can, the food was great, we also had 3 lunches pool side which was significantly faster. There are not a lot of seats by the pool, but it was never overly busy. Plenty of tables and other seating around it to choose from. Great 3 floor roof top patio, furniture is a little sparse up there. Would highly recommend staying in this spot. Views are to die for. Added bonus the local bus to Sona is less than a five minute walk at the local playground. "

"Owner was a super kind guy. Room was small, dirty and full of bugs. Felt very over priced. Restaurant had good food, hard to communicate as no staff speaks english but its understandable! No shuttle or way to transport into town. We had to hitch hike and we ended up leaving early cause it was so inconveniently located. Place has lots of potential. Could be a super rad get away/ party place with some love. "
