"This is a beautiful place, but no where on Expedia's website or Relais' website did it say that you couldn't check in past midnight. We got lost driving up from southern Italy, and the place was locked up when we arrived. We did check in that following day, but were charged for the first night, when we had to find lodging somewhere else!"

"Badia il Vingone is an old stone country house. I stayed in the top floor of a separate cottage with a roof terrace overlooking the swimming pool. Great pool. Continental breakfast which I took in the garden. Amazing views over the rolling hills of Umbria and Tuscany. Delicious dinner in the restaurant. Nadia and her family worked very hard to welcome me to the B&B and prepare and serve the dinner. Thank you"

"I hit my head on the beam at the top of the stairs in our room. Ouch! Other than that everything else was great. The owner did try to talk us into taking a bus, instead of walking all the way, to Gubbio but the walk was much better than he'd described and so we were glad we walked the whole way."
