"The Castle and surroundings are stunning. The property is right next to the castle and a short walk to the pool. It had everything we needed for our 3 days whist we explored the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, all a short car journey away. Because of the location you definitely needed a car. "The hotel was located on a quiet street on the perimeter of the central historic where sites such as the Duomo and the Ufizi are found. We loved the location as it was quiet and only a 5 minute walk to excellent restauants and 10 minutes to the historic central. The hotel has a nice blend of traditional and modern decor. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful in providing restaurant recommendations. Our garden-view room was much larger than we typically have seen in hotels in Italy. Orto De Medici is a well-priced gem. "
