Axat's amenities are within a 5 minute walk and include bakery, butchers, café, minimart, farm shop, restaurants, pharmacy, post office, cinema and open air swimming pool (summer months).

Just over an hour away are the Mediterranean beaches and ski resorts of Les Angles & Font Romeu.
