"Andy, not sure if the owner or manager of both but was a man of true hospitality. The place was very nice and right on the water, great views. Next door a restaurant where we had a nice dinner overlooking the bay. Easy to find and park. He helped us out with a change of travel plans and was very accommodating."

"This place is a gem! Noel & Di welcomed us into their home, and it was so lovely after a series of slightly soulless hotels we stayed in during our travels around South Island. "The situation in a woodland property was nice. The interior was nice , although probably more rustic than luxury. It was good to have an open fire, because the living area was cold without it : perhaps a heat pump as well would be a good idea. We had to get lots more firewood from the woodpile especially kindling as we lit the fire each morning and evening. The living area was quite dark. "Nice little place tucked away out of the way, however just had a pretty mediocre welcoming at first as we went to check in around 3.30pm then got told that the owner of the business was away and hadn't mentioned about our stay and that we would need to return around 5pm to check in (Had been driving all day and just felt like a bit of a rest to be honest).
