This oceanfront home's wide-open, well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar can accommodate meals for the formal dining table or the oceanfront screened porch picnic table.

This house offers two paved carports, an all-weather entryway, a hot tub, a screened porch for outdoor dining, three decks, an outdoor shower and changing room, a grill, and a fish cleaning station. The spacious living area boasts tall cathedral ceilings, ample seating, books, DVDs, CDs, and games to pass the evening hours.

From the secret fourth-floor Crow's Nest, see the sparkling water of the island's most beautiful beaches and enjoy a panoramic view of Hatteras Island, the perfect place to end the day. Listen to the surf, enjoy a refreshing drink, and watch the sunset.

THINGS TO KNOW
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during check-in. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather.
This home features new appliances (a stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher) as well as a new hot tub for 2023.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.

We trekked the 10 hours from a small little town in southeastern Kentucky and was not disappointed. The property was well maintained, the management was attentive to a lock being broken on the back deck and overall the place was beautiful. 5/5 stars!

Summer family vacation
We were about 8 months planning and looking forward to this getaway. We were not disappointed, the house was just about as we hoped. Beach access is challenging, but beautiful when you get there! The only wish we could’ve had- was softer more comfortable beds and the grill a little more closer to the eating area.

Great house!
Although there were only two of us, we can see that this house is very well set up for multiple families. We especially loved the top floor "crow's nest" room where you can see over the dunes to the ocean. Great place to have coffee and watch the sunrise. Since it was early May, we were pretty much alone on the beach. The hot tub off the second floor was wonderful - we enjoyed it very much. Kitchen was fully stocked and there were even back-up appliances is some cases. Quiet neighborhood with no through traffic! Vacasa was VERY responsive to any questions we had. Thanks again to Vacasa and to the house owners.

Great view from the upper deck. Close walk to the beach. Close to a plethora of amenities nearby. Nice and spacious living area and a hot tub too! Could be cleaned better. Care ful of the sand burs on the dunes and near the house. They will track in on your shoes! Otherwise, a wonderful stay in such a picturesque place!

Nice house, great location and the crow’s nest is amazing. We rated our stay only 3 stars for a couple of reasons. First, the hot tub jets, renters complained about it last year but they’re still broken. Until the hot tub is repaired/replaced, you should not advertise that the house has a functional hot tub. Vacasa gave us the runaround for 3 days, making us think that someone would be stopping by to repair it, but eventually admitted that it’s just an old hot tub that is eventually going to be replaced. Second, the TV’s are super small and outdated. They’re not smart TV’s so we couldn’t log on to any of our streaming accounts and the screens are very small. Not very ideal when trying to gather the family around for movie night after a day at the beach. A few upgrades would make this house much better to rent.

Great house with a sweet ocean view deck to watch the sunrise. Comfortable and close to a couple coffee shops and grocery store :). Just a little up and down sandy hike and you are on the beach!

Beautiful house that we have rented the last 2 Thanksgiving.
We have rented this house for the last 2 years on the week of Thanksgiving . Last year the hot tub needed a part . This year we had to keep adding water to the hot tub . Jets were not strong at all . Would like to rent again next year but the price has all most doubled . It's only myself and my wife and we always leave the house in wonderful shape . I could see the price going up but that's a lot . Thanks for letting me give my opinion .

Great Space for a vacation
We had a wonderful trip to Gray Haven. It's an older home, but still comfortable and felt warm and cozy to us. If you are looking for a state of the art kitchen, this is not the house for you. if you are looking for a house to relax and enjoy OBX this will be perfect. The beds were comfortable. The living space was open and welcoming. The access to the beach was a little tricky, but we found a nice staircase/board walk a few houses down that went over all the dunes. There were SO many people fishing on the beach, that was the only thing I really didn't like because we had to walk quite a while to get to a place where we could get close to the water, but that's not a reflection of the house. Prickly Pears are no joke, don't walk around without shoes or you'll be sorry. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We had a couple of VERY minor issues when we were there and VACASA responded immediately.

I really enjoyed staying at Gray Haven! The views were great of both the ocean and the soundside sunsets. The coffee table was great for working a puzzle. I thoroughly recommend Gray Haven as a place to stay for a trip to the Outer Banks!
