Newly renovated in 2015, we took the beach house from the 50's and brought it into the new century. Torn down to studs, everything is brand new with all of the great upgrades including quartzite counter-tops, all new appliances, new cabinets throughout, solid wood doors, cool flooring, awesome lighting fixtures, ETC.

My favorite place is the large covered deck overlooking the ocean. You can hear the sounds, smell the mist and enjoy the views of this one of a kind California Cove called Avila Beach. If you have been here before, you will not believe the transformation. Super clean and comfortable for up to 6 people.

We are only a few blocks from all of the Avila downtown action, yet we are still out of the crowds and commotion. Great for relaxing when you want to chill at the house, but still only a short walk to the beach, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and ice cream shops.

We offer three off-street parking spots which is critical on most every weekend.

From the downstairs master bedroom there is a courtyard under the ocean side deck, ideal for relaxing and taking in a good read.

Outstanding location with lovely view of the ocean at Avila Brach. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Quiet location with privacy, but just up the hill from the beach and shops of Avila. We hosted some family gatherings while there, and there was plenty of room for everyone in the common area and deck.

Booked a 5 night stay at Avila Beach for a winter vacation. Communication w/ property manager was great. Location was excellent - short but steep walk to the beach and stores. Could hear the ocean waves faintly even w/ the windows closed. Would book this place again if or when we return.

Beautiful Home with a view.
This home is beautiful with a lovely large deck that has a peekaboo view of Avila Beach and ocean. Short two block walk to restaurants, coffee shop and boutique shops. The home is decorated nicely and was very comfortable to hang out in with our family. We cooked a Thanksgiving meal in the large well equipped kitchen. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon. Thank you!

Another relaxing stay
This is our second stay and it did not disappoint. The house is located in the residential area of Avila, yet walking distance to everything. There is construction work going on at the house in the back during the week, but not too bad as far as noise. Thank you for sharing your home.

Perfect Beach Stay
Our family of 3 had such an enjoyable time in Avila Beach. The apartment delivered. Great views, easy and fast communication with the owner, stocked kitchen and perfect location. Loved the 2 block walk to the shops. The owner also helped us find a babysitter so we could enjoy a parents night out in SLO! We would 100% stay here again.

Loved it!!!!!
Loved it! So peaceful and relaxing. Got a little busy on weekend. Restaurants and pier fish markets were amazing. Mario's home was the perfect getaway home for us. Loved the location and proximity to everything Avila Beach has to offer. Can't wait to return!

A perfect stay in Avila
This VRBO is a great find - beautifully restored and very comfortable. It's great to hear the waves crash, so soothing! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any meal, the deck and living area are very comfortable, and you can't beat the view. Good sized bedrooms and comfortable beds. We will be back! Great location
We had a very nice stay at this property. It is very clean and recently remodeled. The location was perfect. The only surprise was the construction going on directly in front of the deck and ocean view. We feared a lot of noise during the day but that did not happen. Otherwise perfect.

Wonderful beach home
Beautiful property and just a short walk to the beach and other Avila highlights ( shops, dining etc) Home was perfect for all our Christmas activities and dinner. All dishware, pots and pans and appliances were there for our use. I really didn’t need to bring any of that with me. Any questions I had were promptly responded too. Can’t wait to come again!

Avila Beach Gem
We had an amazing few days at this gem of a place in Avila Beach! It was spotlessly clean, and was stocked with everything we needed. I don’t usually notice decor specifically, but really admired the paintings etc. The stunner, however, was the deck view. Currently, the view is second to none. We enjoyed wine and snacks on the deck nightly, and felt no need to go anywhere else! We have traveled to this area frequently as we had kids who graduated from Cal Poly. I wish we had found this place sooner! Looking forward to staying here again!

Great Stay in Avila Beach
We spent three weeks at this lovely beach house and thoroughly enjoyed it. The large covered upstairs deck with great ocean and sunset views was the highlight. We spent a lot of time there reading and relaxing, especially on rainy days. The upstairs living space is roomy and comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen. The master bedroom is large, with a very comfy bed, walk-in closet, and large bathroom with nice shower. The house is in an ideal location, in a quiet spot at the end of town yet only a block to the ocean and a few blocks to shops and restaurants. Comments from other reviewers that the combo washer/dryer is not suitable for doing a lot of laundry are accurate. It was not a problem for us; there is a large and nice self-service laundromat (SLO Laundry on Los Osos Valley Rd) where we got a weeks' worth laundry done in two hours. Overall, we highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning.

Birthday getaway
This property is beautiful and so clean. The kitchen is completely stocked and we easily prepared some meals there. The deck has a nice view and the pictures in the ad are accurate. The house in front of this property is under construction but the workers we saw were courteous and extremely quiet! We enjoyed mornings and evenings in the upper deck and again, this neighborhood was very quiet. It was wonderful. The house is at the top of the hill so the walk up is steep but not worrying about parking was great. The leather couches and chairs could stand to be replaced but everything was so clean and fresh. Avila is a quaint little town and we always enjoy visiting. Our contact for the property was very pleasant and prompt and extremely helpful. FIVE GREAT BIG STARS
