Fun, little funky cabin!
We were pretty comfortable for one night stopover in Avila Beach. Location is perfection, just a block off all the main shops, restaurants, and beach. We didn’t use coffee maker, but availed ourselves of a sunset cocktail on the deck. Thoughtful touches are in every space. We especially appreciated a nightlight in the bathroom!
This cabin was probably originally built in the early 20th Century, so some of the wiring is not embedded in walls. There are a couple of antique switches and locks/doorknobs are old or old looking. There is a visible crack in the exterior wall over the entry door, but it speaks to the cabin’s elderly charm. That said, it’s all been updated and works perfectly.
The bed was comfortable; we both had enough outlets to charge our stuff, and there’s a mini split for heat and cooling that we didn’t need.
Our only complaint is that there is no functional seating in the main room. The one sling chair looks good for photography. It’s not comfortable, and was difficult to get in and out of. There’s room for a nicer chair where one could spend some time reading.
Stay here! It’s a fun spot.
