I didnt realize her contact & 24hour contact didn't work, so we took long time to check-in (Guimaraes might be a safe place, but...😥😫) Also "the reception opens at 10am" is too late. the price is really reasonable if guests don't do late-check-in. On the main area there was a strong smell, like garbage and it was there for over a day even though they came to clean the room, no one bothered to empty the trash, the smell was so bad it came into our room. The hotel is in a good area, we felt safe but far from the touristy area and the walk to the train station was long, it was hard to get UBER there so we had to walk several times. "

The staff were very helpful providing dining options in a near by town and checked in via WhatsApp to ensure our stay was running smoothly.
