Just 2 minutes away from the Heart of Auxerre ''City of Art & History'' this modern and minimalist style Guesthouse has 2 comfortable bedrooms with garden views, a fully equipped US-type kitchen, and a nice living space. Just stepping out of the front door, you'll find a great terrace, tables, chairs and lush landscaping. This Cottage is ideal for touring Auxerre and its region, be it cultural visits or sport activities.

There is a lot to do in Auxerre, and Northern Burgundy really has a lot to offer, we can recommend :
- Vineyards of world famous Chablis located 10mn away - Wine tasting 'Caves de Bailly' (10mn away)
- The Renaissance ''Château'' of Ancy le Franc (40mn away) along with Château de Tanlay (30mn away)
- The Vézelay basilica part of Unesco's world Heritage (50mn away)
- The Château de St Fargeau (45mn away)

Starting in Auxerre, the beautiful Cathedral of which the choir is a pure jewel of Gothic Architecture and the St Germain Abbey are just two of several wonders not to be missed.

For those wanting to exercise, within 1km you'll have access to tennis courts, public pools (7 of them), a 10-mile walking path called ''Coulée verte'', many bicycle trails.
The beautiful and flowery park of l'Arbre Sec is located 3 minutes away and while in it, give yourself a peaceful moment among wild ducks and swans and watch small boats navigate the Yonne river. There is also a great 4-mile long walking path along the river.
For the football (soccer) fans, we highly recommend a game of the notorious AJA (AJ.Auxerre) team at the nearby home-stadium Abbé Deschamps.

Last but not least, Auxerre provides the following activities: bowling, ice-skating, karting, canoeing, sports clubs, swimming and more.

Lovely cottage in Auxerre
We stayed four nights in the delightful cottage with our two young children and loved the property, outdoor space and wonderful assistance from the owner. When we needed to extend our stay, Philippe responded quickly so we could alter our travel plans. The listing description was accurate and the property was very clean, well cared for and provided all we needed for our stay. Proximity to grocery store was extremely convenient and our children loved the many playgrounds, parks and walking paths nearby. Nice walk each day into the centre ville. Auxerre is a lovely city and we look forward to returning again. We would definitely stay again at this property.

Adequate for 2 but with such limited table space in the kitchen/living space we couldn't see how 3 or 4 people could manage. No wardrobe in main bedroom and wardrobe in second bedroom had very little hanging space. Each of the 3 rooms had airconditioning but no means of switching it on. On sweltering days it would have been very welcome

Häuschen in der Stadt mit sehr schönem Garten
Wir hatten einen angenehmen, wenn auch etwas kühlen Aufenthalt, da die Klimanlage nicht ging und außer einem kleinen Heizlüfter keine Heizmöglichkeit für die doch sehr kühlen Nächte vorhanden war. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, alles nötige vorhanden. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und der Garten mit großem Sitzplatz sehr schön. Sehr gut war auch der eigene Parkplatz im abgeschlossenen Grundstück.

Nice stay in Auxerre
Extremely clean guest house. It is very well located . It is right next to a top rated restaurant,. It is very near a great wine store, and a super marche is close. If the weather is nice the grounds are quite the region is full of nice places to eat and drink. The country side is beautiful.

Schöne Wohnung mit Garten
Die Wohnung liegt ein paar Minuten zu Fuss von der Yonne und der Innenstadt entfernt. Schöner Park und Restaurants in der Nähe. In der Wohnung findet sich alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Schnelle und einfache Kommunikation mit dem sehr netten Gastgeber, auch gute Tipps. Alles bestens.

Bonne étape auxerroise
Un gîte bien équipé juste en bordure de la vieille ville et à proximité d'un boulanger/pâtissier/chocolatier redoutable. Un agréable jardin, avec malheureusement un fond sonore de télé permanent en provenance d'un voisinage par ailleurs parfaitement calme.

Proche du centre historique, maison climatisée, un bon restaurant juste en face pour le soir , et proche de la piste cyclable, parfait pour 3 jours de vélo dans la région . Grâce à la climatisation, les nuisances sonores du centre ville sont inexistantes .

Lovely Place to Stay in Auxerre
This is an ideal property for visiting both Auxerre and this part of Burgundy. It was especially nice to have use of the garden and patio. The owners couldn't be more friendly and helpful and it was a real pleasure to stay there.

Tolles, hervorragendes, zentrumnahes Ferienhaus
Sehr gut ausgestattetes, helles, freundliches Ferienhaus. Der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns wunderbare Tips für Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Ausflüge in die Umgebung gegeben. Das historische Zentrum von Auxerre ist wenige Gehminuten vom Ferienhaus entfernt, ein Supermarkt ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Bei gutem Wetter haben wir im Garten gegessen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen, kommen bei Gelegenheit sicher mal wieder und können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Excellent place to stay in Auxerre
Very pleasant stay in Auxerre - very clean and tidy - great customer service from the owners. Excellent location on edge of town centre and not far from railway station. Definitely recommend. Be aware that the 2 bedrooms have doorways but no actual doors - may be an issue for some people but was fine for us.

"Gite parfaitement situé ...
"Gite parfaitement situé et proche du centre ville, des commerces, du chemin de halage à parcourir en vélo... Nous avons même un écureuil dans le jardin ! Equipement complet et neuf. A savoir : il y a un vitrage au plafond dans chaque pièce, très agréable la journée mais dérangeant pour dormir quand la lueur du jour se lève. Les chambres sont ouvertes (pas de porte)."

"Gîte entièrement neuf, très bien conçu, avec beaucoup de goût. Assez grand pour 4 personnes. Tout le confort désiré! Les nuits y sont calmes (aucun bruit) et reposantes (bonne literie) malgré sa situation en plein centre ville. Idéal pour se poser après une bonne balade dans le pays Bourguignon! à ne pas râter!"
