"This felt like you were staying with a local family because they stay on the lodge property too. The staff was amazing and caring. The property is in a beautiful area and the guides have things to do multiple times a day. The meals were home cooked and offered a lot of variety. Overall I can’t say enough about the people and the location and the service. Suggestions for travelers include not taking a big suitcase, leave that at a hotel in Manaus and pack just the clothing needed for the lodge. Sit with others during meals, I met so many nice fellow travelers who made me, a solo traveler, feel comfortable. Take books, it’s so peaceful and relaxing, a great place to read and really disconnect. "
