Renovated Historic Lakefront Gem Overlooking Lake Travis and Jones Brothers Park

This gem is one of the original homes of historic Jonestown with all the modern amenities you could ask for – even a hot tub!

Start your day with breakfast overlooking the lake from one of our two spacious front porches. From there you can walk down to Jones Brothers park for a sunshine-filled day by the lake, lounging and playing on the large grassy lawn. We have everything you need:

-Eight Chairs
-Plenty of beach towels
-Two kayaks
-Life jackets in kid and adult sizes
-YETI cooler
-Cornhole and badminton sets
-Football, basketball and soccer balls
-A portable wagon to transport chairs, cooler etc. down to the lake
-Tennis courts, a jungle gym and basketball hoops down at the park

BE CAREFUL walking up the steps to the house or down the steps to the lake. The steps are old and at times stones can be loose.

If you care to boat or jet ski there are public docks on the water directly next to the house. There are several companies on Lake Travis that rent ski boats, pontoon boats, party barges, jet skis etc. if you’re interested in exploring the lake. Water levels fluctuate over the course of the year. If you want to know water levels just ask! The Jones Brother’s Park has a large playscape, baseball diamond, basketball courts, covered picnic areas, and lots of lakeshore and places to play.

We have you covered for cooking:

-New 5 burner grill
-KitchenAid appliances: stand mixer, blender, tea kettle, toaster
-Luxury coffee maker and coffee grinder
-Wine fridge
-OXO and Kitchenaid kitchen tools
-Table service for 8
-Pitcher, margarita glasses, wine glasses, tumblers- everything you need to enjoy an evening lounging on the porch
-Coffee and sugar are provided, as well as a variety of teas.

In the living area we have a spacious living room with a big screen 60 inch TV to enjoy a movie, Netflix or a sporting event with the whole family or group. We also have plenty of board games and puzzles to enjoy.

We also have a large wood-burning fireplace that makes the house even cozier during the winter!

We have three bedrooms. The master features a king bed and a spacious walk in closet. Our second bedroom has a queen bed. Our third bedroom has a full bed with a twin sized bunk on top, making it flexible for children or more adults.

We have two bathrooms – one upstairs with a shower and a bathroom downstairs with a vintage clawfoot bathtub – perfect for drawing a bubble bath and reading a book after spending a day on the lake. There is also a showerhead above the clawfoot bathtub.

Our house is 30 minutes from downtown Austin and 45 minutes from the airport, making it a perfect getaway for South by Southwest, Austin City Limits Music Festival, or UT football weekends.

There are some dining options close by including Rounders Pizza within walking distance and Quetzal Mexican Restaurant a 5 minute drive away. Around a 15 minute drive away you can find an HEB grocery store, a Super Target, and a Costco, as well as a huge variety of dining options, including the famous Lucy’s Fried Chicken.

We are committed to our guests having an amazing lake trip. In the event you need our support, or have questions about the property, we’re happy to assist over to phone. In the event of an emergency we are able to come to the house as we live within driving distance.

In light of recent global health issues we have doubled down on cleaning anything you will touch - light switches, remotes, etc.

Rules worth noting:

-No bachelor/ bachelorette parties, wild parties or large/ loud events. Our property is suited for friend and family-oriented vacations and reunions.

-Only the number of guests on the reservation are allowed on the property unless an arrangement with the owners has been approved.

-The house has a septic system and it is vitally important that nothing but toilet paper goes down the toilet. Trash cans are provided in all the bathrooms for feminine hygiene products, tissues, paper towels, or any other trash.

-Parents/guardians must watch and be responsible for children at all times.

-Please be respectful of our neighbors and comply with the city noise ordinance after 10:00.

-No parking on the grass or on the street. Please only park in the driveway or in the car port behind the property.

-A parking map and additional guidelines will be provided prior to your visit.

What an Amazing Vacay!
The property was in excellent condition; the host was super responsive and accommodating. We loved our time on the porches! The activity shed came in clutch with all-size life jackets for our lake day—nothing negative to report here. Stairs were a bit taxing for my older parents, but hey, the house is over 100 years old and built into the side of a hill, so, yeah, it’s worth the climb!

We stayed during spring break for a few days. Lots of things to do with kids in the area. Hiking was great. House is beautiful and was perfect for our family. Awesome 2nd story balcony to relax on. Unfortunately the lake level is low this year so the view of the lake is missing. Would definitely go back, especially when the lake level is back up.

Beautiful property exactly as described. The location is amazing and on a very quiet part of the lake which made going swimming and kayaking super fun. Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners and property manager could not have been better; they were communicative and took care to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The amenities upon arrival were much appreciated and the house had everything one could possibly need. My kids enjoyed playing badminton in the front yard as well as exploring the grounds and the park. You can’t beat the view or location. There is a nature trail nearby that is great for a quick excursion. Check-in/out was easy. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect get away to live lake life
We selected this house as a getaway to live the lake life with our two teenage boys. The location is perfect, there is a remote feel as the location is private with an amazing view and easy access to outdoor activities at Jonestown Park. The house is a gem, comfortable, very clean, and equipped with all the basics and more. Having access to the kayaks and floats really made our lake experience memorable and the owners have great suggestions on things to do in the area. The owners are quick to respond and easy to work with. We will definitely come back to stay!

Much Needed Texas Staycation
The Jonestown property is the perfect location for a family staycation or mothers retreat. It is in a quiet location with a beautiful view of the lack and easy access to the lake. The property has access to amenities with a short drive (ex. local tours, boat rentals, grocery stores). The property looks exactly like the pictures and virtual tour. The communication with the property owner Tim and property manager Zeek was very informative and efficient. They both provided our family with recommendations for local restaurants, boat rental, golf courses and local services. We took advantage of a sound mediation session that was conducted right on the property. We also took advantage of scheduling acupuncture and facial services which is a five minute drive from the property. If you want to grill, or cook the kitchen is set up perfectly for a family meal. The address also has easy access to food delivery services. If you want to lounge, the upstairs and downstairs porch is perfect for listening to nature and reading a book, or just drinking coffee and viewing the lake. The couch area is great for family movie/game night. The hot tub is also set up in a relaxing location on the property. The check in and checkout process was easy and seamless. My family and I enjoyed the property and working with Tim and Zeek to ensure we met our family goal of a fun and relaxing weekend at the lake. We have found our go to booking for a lake staycation in Texas.

Amazing house with amazing view, we used all of the amenities to its fullest!
Tim (owner) was great, we had issue getting the living room TV to turn ( for the kids) I called Zee the property manager, he had it working ASAP, the shed with ALL the water toys was a great add on and well thought out. House is wonderful, we definitely enjoyed the hot tub after a day of kayaking and swimming. I have already recommended the house to 2 friends, I will definitely return with family!

What an incredible lake house!
We stayed for a relaxing weekend in September and had a wonderful experience. The house was absolutely perfect and it had everything we needed to enjoy our time. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beautiful upstairs patio during our stay. The view of the lake from the patio was spectacular and the comfy patio furniture made it our favorite place to relax, drink coffee, and eat our meals. The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped with plenty of extras to make us feel at home. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, beverages, condiments, and all the utensils we needed to cook home cooked meals. There were also kayaks, water floats, and a cooler which made it super easy to enjoy everything the lake had to offer. The beds were very comfortable and the large living room couch was the perfect place to relax, watch TV, and unwind at the end of the day. The owner Tim was super friendly and accommodating during our communications. We will definitely be booking this lake house again in the future. Very highly recommended!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful lake house! The house had lots of “above and beyond” touches provided by the owner – from kayaks and water floats for us to enjoy at the lake, to brand new grill equipment and a well-stocked kitchen that made it easy to cook for our group of family and friends. They even provided a handy wagon which made heading to the lake a breeze! We spent tons of time on the sprawling front porches overlooking the beautiful lake – a stunning spot for a trip to the lake with family and friends. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time at this lake house! The views of the lake from the balcony were amazing and very relaxing. Inside, we enjoyed hanging out in the large family room and cozy couches.
