Metropolitan Suite 2 Bedrooms

Sleep up to 6 people next door to the Austin Convention Center in this condo.
The Metropolitan Suite is one of the many gems located in Austin’s Railyard Condominiums. This 2BR, 2BA unit (sleeps 6) boasts cascading brick walls, shining hardwood floors, and modern touches everywhere you look. Lady Bird Lake, the Convention Center, and the boutiques of 2nd street are blocks away from this elegant downtown dwelling. Everything is at your doorstep. However, if you want to stay in, you can have it all delivered.

You will receive one reserved parking space in our private and gated complex. Your parking spot is just a short walk to your 2nd floor condo, which sits above a gorgeous landscaped courtyard complete with a fountain. A patio table and chair set offers a place for outdoor relaxation right outside of your door. Step inside to the tile-floored living room and take in the condo’s clean, modern decor. A sofa and armchair offers plenty of comfy seating across from a big flat-screen TV with cable and a decorative fireplace. Large windows let in plenty of sunlight, and the condo’s accents and artwork are the epitome of sleek style.

Straight ahead from the living room is a dining area with stool against a burnt orange accent wall. To the left is the gorgeous gourmet kitchen, detailed with a stainless steel double door fridge, an electric stove/oven, and dishwasher.

The master bedroom invites you in with an exposed brick wall, lots of natural light, and a heavenly queen-sized bed. An en-suite bathroom offers privacy and convenience with a stand-up shower, single-sink vanity, and a large mirror. The eye-catching redbrick aesthetic continues in the guest bedroom, where 2 twin beds sit across from 2 large mirrored closets. There’s a shower/tub combo and a massive mirror in the bright guest bath.

The Railyard Condominiums are located on 4th Street in the heart of downtown Austin, bringing you and your guests into a mecca of entertainment, museums, and delicious dining options. Wander around Lady Bird Lake just minutes from your condo, and find action-packed 6th Street just 2 blocks away. Congress Bridge and Town Lake are 4 blocks away, the Convention Center is right across the street, and boutique-lined 2nd Street is a quick jaunt from your doorstep. Great Place
This was a great stay!! The apartment is within walking distance to Rainey Street, a short car ride to West 6th area, and so many good restaurants. The apartment was clean, check in and check out both went smoothly! Highly recommend staying here during your next trip to Austin!

Best Location for Convention Center
Location was amazing. Right across the street from the front door of the Convention Center. Convenient to everything . . . even a grocery store on the block that is open until midnight. Walk to downtown restaurants and bars. It even has secured, covered parking!! It is not brand new and glitzy . . . it is a little older . . . but it was great for us for the week-long convention. I highly recommend it!!

Great experience! Way better than reviews
Myself, boyfriend, brother, and his SO had an amazing stay at this apartment! It was very clean and spacious. Also, the location is 10/10 and the complex felt safe and clean. I was nervous based on some of the other reviews, but was very pleasantly surprised. The only cons to note is that there was limited hot water and the space is a little dark, but otherwise incredible! Definitely recommend.

Potential to be great, very underwhelmed
While the checkin process was quick and easy and the location is favorable, that's where the good ends. Even though the location is favorable, we still had to drive to most things that we wanted to do in the city. Walking into the unit we were immediately assaulted by a sewage smell that numerous air fresheners could not mask. One of the showers had little to no water pressure and the temperature would not go up forcing us all to use the master bathroom shower all weekend. The couch pictured in the listing is not the couch in the unit. The couch in the unit is not a sleeper sofa, nor is it large enough for even one adult to sleep comfortably. While there was an air mattress provided, it was patched with duct tape and would not hold air for more than 20 minutes. Seating is an issue for more than 2 people. The couch only comfortably sits 2, there is no airchair as advertised and there were only 3 stools for the table. The kitchen is not stocked to be able to cook. While there is a dishwasher, it smells moldy and doesn't actually work. Overall, we were very disappointed in our stay at this location.

Near Austin Convention Center Stay
So the location is near the convention center, about 1/4 mile to 6th street and 1/2 mile to Rainey Street- which was great for us. I've been to Austin many times, however this time I was shocked by the amount of homeless ppl. The entire building was run down- peeling paint, fountains not working, mildew on stones, trash, however gates did work. The unit it self- had a sitting area in front of door- for your morning coffee. Self check in was easy ( checkin directions sent 3 months in advance. You need to turn on bathroom light so you can find the lamp on the other side of living room to turn on. Now the pictures give you an idea of the unit- except there was a REALLY good photographers. I honestly felt like I was in a bachlor pad, which is not what I was expecting from a "hotel". This unit- needs major updating- the bedding ( linens and matteress)- was years beyond needing to be tossed, many of the plates and bowls had chips and cracks and there was only ONE coffee cup in the whole place we literally had to go buy our own... Kitchen NOT well stock to be able to cook a meal. Baseboards were dirty, the curtains had a white stain- reminded me of sweat stain, the paint was peeling in areas, the vents were rusted, the laundry closet was gross and hard to use and closet doors covered the stackable until 1/2 way- so you could barely open dryer, some of the towels & wash cloths had brown stains on them- I was glad I had brought my own face cloth. The pillow in the closet- had brown stains on them ( didn't look at my own pillow I was afraid to know), the mattress cover when I striped the bedsheets the last day- literally had hair on it... which totally grossed me out. The place was just dirty and need a LOT of maintence- felt like it hadn't been fixed in years. Needless to stay - this will not be my go to place to stay. I know the owner/manager has many places, which I've rented before - however after this stay I will no longer book any rooms with him, apparently they've gone downhill. So if you are planning of getting smashed- then this unit property won't bother you, becuase you won't remember it. However for me- I won't forget it for a long time.

Right in the Heart of all the Action!!!
This was our first trip to Austin, TX and this Apt. could not have been in a better location. Two Blocks from 6th street, One Block from the Visitors Center, a few block from the Bat Bridge, and just a short walk over to Rainey Street Historic District. The Kitchen had everything that we needed, the Beds were very comfy, and the little sitting area outside the front door is perfect for morning coffee in the Sun. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

All and all it was great. The property is a fantastic location. It’s walking distance to a lot of great bars and only a short Uber away from so much more. My only issue was communication. When we arrived Friday morning someone was parked in our assigned parking spot. I tried calling the numbers given several times, but no answer. I left phone messages, but none were returned. Even with the issue, I’d still rent with them again. The great location and condo itself outweighed the lack of communication.

Great Location
The location was excellent. We stayed for a week, and were able to walk to the famous 6th Street for meals and live music , 2nd Street for shopping , Congress Avenue and Rainey Street. We did not need to rent a car and were out every afternoon and evening. 4 of us stayed quite comfortably in this condo.

Convenient!
We were in Austin for a work conference at the Convention Center. This location was steps to the CV, which was awesome! Ryan is great to communicate with and the condo was stocked with everything we needed to have a great stay! We had groceries delivered via Instantcart and the week was fantastic!

June Wedding Weekend
We chose this listing due to it's proximity to a wedding we were attending. I had difficulty entering the complex because I left off a digit and Ryan responded immediately. Condo overall was clean. There were ample bath towels for the 5 of us, but only 3 wash cloths, 1 which was found dirty in the bottom bathroom drawer. One of the closet doors was off its hinges and leaning against a wall in the bedroom. The bathroom faucet handle was broken off and several light bulbs had to be replaced. This location is perfect for downtown night life, but not so much if you're wanting to sleep. We heard sirens throughout the night and people coming into the complex throughout the early morning hours as voices echo inside the area.

Perfect spot for exploring Austin
I was in town with two other friends for a conference. Ryan's place could not have been more well-suited to our needs. The unit has a great layout which afforded us ample space and privacy. It was extremely clean and well-supplied. The location is perfection, close to our conference and walking distance to everywhere we explored in the city. Additionally, property manager Thomas was incredibly welcoming and helpful. There was a city-wide water filtration issue the weekend we were there which required that all water to be used for cooking or consumption be boiled. Ryan and Thomas ensured that we were stocked with ample bottled water to meet whatever needs we had!
