Camp Sandy is a gated, lakefront estate and is all about the experience. Many activities, on a beautiful and very private property.....100% 5-Star reviews. The 6800 square foot home sits on 4 acres of lake frontage on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas and sleeps 28. The property has 420 feet of water frontage that is flat to the lake so you can walk right in, this is not one of those properties that is up high on a cliff with just a lake view. Feb 1, 2025 Lake Update:
Lake Travis is currently down 52 feet, so the cove in front of the house does not have any water in it. No public boat ramps are open. They are calling for a wet spring, but no guarantees.

Desirable location, very private, close to town, has it all! Across the lake is a nature preserve. The property offers many activities and great fun:

The property is 2.2 miles from HEB grocery store, gas station, 7-11, restaurants, Walgreens, Target, Wells Fargo, etc….and it is the closest Lake Travis rental property to downtown
(just 22 minutes) and only 27 miles to Austin Bergstrom International Airport, making it the most desirable part of Lake Travis.

Camp Sandy allows you to feel like you are in a scenic oasis that has a casual camp-like setting with all that you need to make lifelong memories with friends and family. While staying here, you will enjoy concierge service and offered help in coordinating anything that you may desire. The upstairs has a massive open great room, living and dining area with a beautiful view of the lake and there is a spacious kitchen with island counter seating,. For bedrooms, there is a master, and 2 individual rooms with king beds.

Amazing property!
This is one of the best properties I have stayed on! We had so much to do from playing badminton to playing sand volleyball. I would recommend this property for a great family vacation. It has everything you would need!

David was a great host. He checked in with the group several times to make sure the trip was great! He even had breakfast tacos brought over. By far the best VRBO host I’ve ever had! Camp Sandy is an amazing property with so much to do.

Great Family Reunion at a Great Place!!
Camp Sandy is a great place for a large group! There are plenty of things to do and spread out if needed! We were a group of 27 and never felt crowded at all! David, the owner and manager went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Anytime I would text a question or concern he was right on it, not too many owners take care the way he does! Thanks David for a wonderful time!

Incredible Getaway
Our group of 17 guys stayed at this incredible property for our buddy's bachelor party. Not only was the property incredibly clean, all of the included amenities afforded us endless fun and things to do. Lovely home and amazing property (despite the August heat and drought). Had a great time. Owner was great. We had everything we needed. Will return - hopefully with a higher lake level so there is water in the cove. That would make it even better.

Great weekend
We had an amazing weekend at Camp Sandy. There is so much to do and having the pool is a really great way to stay cool and entertain the group. Location is also nice with it being a short ride into the city while still having your own privacy. David was an awesome host and exactly what you would hope for in an owner when renting a place, he was knowledgeable of the area and made it easy to check in/out. I’ll be recommending Camp Sandy to anyone looking to go to Austin.

Great weekend in Austin/Lake Travis
This was the perfect place for our group of 17 30-somethings on a bachelor party weekend. The pictures of the property don't even do Camp Sandy justice - everyone commented on how remarkable the property is. David is an excellent host, took initiative to bring us a few different items that helped our group out for the weekend without us even asking. I hope to find an occasion to stay at Camp Sandy again!

Loved the property and the property manager. If there had been water in the lake it would have been even better. Also you will need to have bottled water to drink and cook with in this property which would have been nice to know. Everything else was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We had so much fun in the outdoors with so many activities and facilities. Perfect for 3 families. Indoors was also very good. Excellent rooms and bathrooms on 2nd floor. Well equipped game room on 1st floor for both kids and adults to enjoy. Wish lake had good water level to enjoy water sports/activities. We will be back!

Incredible Property
From initial contact to booking and arrival this transaction has been fantastic. Owner has been top shelf on all aspects of rental. Property is HUGE accommodating everyone comfortably. Rooms were fresh and bright with nice furniture. Great room was incredibly large and allowed for all of us to gather (22 adults and kids). Outdoor area was equally greasy with a large pool and great outdoor kitchen/picnic area. We will definitely rent again!!
