My wife and I have a clean, comfortable house with some recent upgrades. It’s super cozy and boasts everything you need. We adore it, and hope you will, too!
The house was built in 1969 in "mid-century modern style". It is a ranch-style home with lots of character. We have replaced all the flooring with porcelain tile and faux-wood flooring. All of the windows have also been replaced in addition to the entire HVAC system. It blows frigid cold in the Texas summer.
SUPER CONVENIENT LOCATION:
You’ll find it’s really conveniently located, just 8 MILES (approximately 14 minutes- depending on traffic) FROM DOWNTOWN and 8 MILES FROM THE DOMAIN (A.K.A. Austin’s “new downtown” & the best shopping). Only 13 MILES from the AIRPORT! Click on the map link, to see what I mean. Notice how convenient to 2 major highways (IH-35, & HWY 183/Research)!
GETTING AROUND:
The major highway that splits Austin, IH-35, is under half a mile from our house! DOWNTOWN is just a straight shot south on the highway.
Uber, Lyft, and other ride services offer trips downtown for as low as $13* (of course, pricing varies based on many factors).
There is a Capital Metro Bus Stop very close by- Totally walkable distance.
PARKING:
If you’re driving to Austin or renting a car upon arrival, you can park a vehicle(s) in the driveway or on the street in front of our house.
We use the garage for our own storage, and it will remain locked (unless you have requested access and we have agreed to pricing).
THE HOUSE AND SET-UP:
Our LIVING ROOM is very open with vaulted ceilings and eye-catching beams. Among the comfy living room furniture, there is a 38 inch flat screen TV with a Roku.
In the FULLY STOCKED laundry room, there is a FRONT LOADING WASHER AND DRYER (including complimentary H. E. appropriate detergent), and the use of our brand new KEURIG 2.0 (furnished with COMPLIMENTARY K-CUPS of delicious brewed coffee- ON DEMAND)!
The MASTER BEDROOM (and en suite master bathroom) is on one side of the home, while the other bedrooms and restroom are on the opposite end. The private master bedroom also boasts a king size SLEEP NUMBER bed with fresh linens, extra pillows, and a plush DOWN comforter. Guests consistently give great feedback about how comfortable our beds are. The furniture is crisp white in contrast to the deep blue walls. The brand new window overlooks the backyard garden area and has room darkening shades for nighttime.
The other three bedrooms, located on the opposite side of the house, are fully furnished including queen (1) or king size beds (3) with fresh linens, extra pillows, and featuring brand new windows with treatments/coverings. Each room has its own style, and the largest of the three features a desk and work space.
We are able to provide air mattresses* (for a common area) or a pack-n-play*. Just let us know!

BACKYARD:
The backyard is fully fenced. Our back porch includes super comfortable chairs, which swivel and rock, surrounding a large iron and glass outdoor table (complete with a full size umbrella). There are Native Texas Plants peppered throughout the yard and garden. The backyard also boasts a full size outdoor grill which you are welcome to use. The front porch is completely covered and great for "taking-in" a Texas rainstorm.
