Rent a car (Avis Car Rental is right next door!) and take it where you need.

Once you’ve parked your car in your reserved parking spot, head into the unit through a private courtyard. The space offers a nice place to kick up your feet or enjoy a drink after a day of exploring the city. Open the sliding glass door, set your stuff down, and breathe easy. Enjoy a fresh, simple take on the Old West Austin charm - it’s been recently redecorated! The living room offers comfy seating to browse the unit’s smart TV, catch up on work, or plan the day’s itinerary. (The wifi is fast - 219 Mbps!) Adjust the temperature to your liking with the Nest smart thermostat to stay cozy year-round.

Ready to get a good night’s sleep? Hop into the king bed. You’ll have easy access to the unit’s ironing board, hair dryer, and shared laundry facilities to prepare you for whatever you have planned to do in Austin!

We don't charge a security deposit! Where many hosts charge over $500, and where you as the guest risk them not returning your deposit – Austin Vacay remains guest-centric by charging a one-time, non-refundable fee (already included in your booking price) which provides up to $200 of coverage towards unintentional rental property damages (subject to plan terms and conditions). Scooters (Lime & Bird) as well as Lyft and Uber are the best ways to get around Austin, especially this close to everything. However, there are also a lot of public transportation options in this area (see CapMetro's website).
We have security cameras outside of our property at the entrances for added security and your peace of mind. We do not have any cameras inside, respecting our guests' privacy.

5) The cleaning that you pay for is to clean the home prior to your stay. If you do not pick up after yourself sufficiently when you check out, you may be charged an additional cleaning fee - price depends on how long it takes to clean up after you. We don't expect you to scrub the home, but simply pick up your trash and put everything where you found it
6) Minimum age requirement is 25
7) If you do not check out on time (11AM) you will be charged an additional night

Roomy, comfortable apartment in small complex
Roomy; comfortable; well-equipped kitchen; good closet space and hangers; great stove and toaster. Exiting the parking spaces requires backing onto a busy street; front drapes not wide enough for full privacy; no dishwasher, so it needs a dishpan; not all outlets work; toilet may need repair.

Close to Austin Heart Hospital
Just under a mile to the Austin Heart Hospital. Nice enough place. A couple of things to consider: A bit tough to pull into parking space with a larger vehicle especially if other cars aren't parked straight into their spot and the direction you approach the spot. There is a not a traditional front door. It's a sliding glass door that the lock doesn't work so you have to use a "bar" to lock it.

VRBO for Game Weekend
Wanted a clean and safe place to stay during game weekend and fairly close to campus. Did NOT want a hotel off I-35 that doubled as a homeless encampment. Easy access to son living in west campus. Close to dining such as Kerby Lane Cafe. Very safe yet very close to whatever we needed. Only 2 complaints was that there was NO coffee in the cupboard and one of the bath towels was dirty. Good water pressure for showers. Very comfortable bed. Would stay here again.

Roomy and clean in great location
The unit has a great location, has a surprisingly quiet bedroom, and was very clean and roomy. Good king bed. Sleeping in the front room might be noisy. Hot water failed and was repaired that day. Downsides are a messy entrance, a fussy lock on sliding door, and rear windows that can no longer be locked. Wifi good. Linens good. Occupants of other units were friendly. Getting in and out of the assigned parking place requires patience as the traffic on 35th St can be heavy.
