Upscale and on-trend home in one of Central Austin's best neighborhoods. Guests have the whole house to themselves. Stay for a weekend or a month.
Features of the home include the following:

Great neighborhood - minutes to Downtown, UT, Zilker Park and a 5 to 6 block walk to parks, hike and bike trails, restaurants and shops.

Fully-equipped, gourmet, kitchen with dual fuel gas range, microwave, dishwasher fridge with ice and filtered water through the door, Keurig and drip pot, blender, toaster, pancake griddle. Bluetooth speaker to stream your favorite tunes while cooking, dining.

Beds include king bed in one bedroom, queen bed in second bedrooms, queen sleeper in third bedroom/media space off the master and a queen sleeper in the living room; A pack-n-play for baby sleeping, and a twin air mattress are available upon request.

Two media centers with LED TV and Roku for streaming your favorite channels-- one in the living room and a second in the flex space (bedroom/office) off the Master.

Luxe bathroom offers both shower and bath, adjustable-height showerhead, loads of towels, soaps, and storage space.

A 3- to 7-day supply of linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and dishwashing soaps are provided.

It is 5 minutes to medical centers and 10 to 15 minutes to Downtown, the Austin Convention Center, Zilker Park, Barton Springs, 2nd Street and 6th Street venues, the Austin Convention Center.

Ride service fares are generally $10 to $20 into Downtown. Capitol Metro bus service into Downtown or UT is available three blocks from the house.

We have hosted family vacations, couple getaways, wedding guests, musicians, filmmakers, visiting professors, corporate employees in Austin on work assignments.

Nice quiet neighborhood
Cute little house located in a quiet neighborhood but still in the city and close to everything! Owner was very accommodating when I had to bring my cat last minute. I will definitely stay here every time I visit Austin

Wonderful hostess with great communication
Homey feel, excellent neighborhood. We felt very safe. The outside needs some work but we didn’t come to Texas to hang outside where we were staying.

My nieces and their mom stayed with a newborn, and found this house to be just right, thank you, We lost the cover to my pack n play if someone would let me stop by to pick it up. It’s a gray fabric case.

Best communication ever from a VRBO host
We were here during an unusual cold snap that saw Texas in below freezing weather. Host was very communicative about what we needed to do to protect pipes, and fixed the hot water heater while we were there so that we had hot water. Thank you!

Ideal location for our work group - close to our headquarters, downtown, shopping, and freeway
The house was great for our stay. It was roomy and well-stocked. Katherine keeps the inside quite clean. My only "less than five" stars were given because the cover picture is not of the outside of the home. The backyard needs maintenance so we didn't go out there. That didn't affect our stay, though. We will definitely stay there again - it was quiet, clean, comfortable, and super convenient. I highly recommend!

Nice Home
Our family (my husband and I, our toddler, and our two dogs) stayed here for a little over two weeks while our home in Austin was being worked on. The location is amazing. It's literally minutes away from everything. The back yard is excellent, and we spent a lot of time out there playing with the dogs. The neighborhood is swoon-worthy for sure. The home itself is cozy, with enough space for everyone. Our daughter ended up in the little sitting room connected to the master, simply because it's the quietest (and darkest) room in the house. It might not be the most comfortable house in Austin (the sofa has seen better days), but then again, we weren't here for vacation. The owner was exceedingly kind and accommodating, and we were pleased at the end of our stay.

Our Great Christmas holiday
We spent 10 days, including Christmas and New Years, and loved every moment. The house is just as the pictures depict. There were two couples staying at the house. The kitchen was perfect, we made & decorated a large gingerbread house and cookie tree, cooked a goose for Christmas, and two amazing desserts to mention a few things. We ate at the house every meal except for two. We felt that the location was covenient to everything important in Austin. The neighborhood was very quiet and we always felt safe. Katherine, was very responsive during the entire process of reviewing the property, renting, and then during our stay. The location was perfect for us, and one of the couples loved the house so much that they wanted to transport it back to their current home town Katherine even made extra efforts to help us with the bathroom, because one guest had a walker. That was very special. I would highly recommend staying with Katherine, and we would return the next time that we are in Austin. Janice

Cozy and comfy central Austin stay!
We recently stayed at the 38th street home. Katherine was wonderful. Always on top of communications and easy to reach though we didn't need to. The home is very comfortable and cozy inside. We travelled with our two kids so the two bedrooms were ample space for us. We appreciated the coolness upon our arrival in very hot late July. The whole home was very clean and smelled good when we walked in each time. The shower was strong and never ran out of hot water -- which was important since we four took several showers a day due to the extremely hot weather! The beds were both comfortable. I always go for a place that has at least one king size bed. The third bedroom is set up as an office with a couch and media center. I guess that couch unfolds to a bed to sleep two more. Note that this is only accessible through the master bedroom. Great for kids staying in there but not for another couple. The kitchen was well stocked, easy to heat up food in and had a wonderful backyard view from the dining table. I thought the cost was better than other places I viewed in the same area. And, we took advantage of being walking distance from our favorite, Kirbey Lane Cafe!!!

Long weekend in Austin
We enjoyed our stay while back in Austin for the weekend with some family. The place is conveniently located to get to UT and other Austin highlights. There were five of us, and we were comfortable and enjoyed the extra space compared to a hotel.

First, no accurate description of the property, 2nd, send us the rules and regulations after payment made with no refundable. We travel to see our family but come find out they cannot come to the property even just to have dinner with us.. If we should have known we will not stayed here. Text and call the owner but no response until a day or late response. Check in after long hours of driving and see dirty sofa bed and nasty with bird feathers and m&m candy stuck in the sofa bed. Told the owner and she answer that she's not aware that it's been used or dirty. Parking is very tight, so difficult to in and out the driveway, people park in the street almost all the way of the driveway. Not pleased at all with this place. Very trashy looking from outside. Our last day, someone drop a cardboard box with old towel and scissor in it right in front of the door and we are not feel safe there as we don't know what that means. Owner seems like don't care about everything we told her. Goodluck to the next renter
