"Overall happy with the stay. Initial absence of basic cleaning products (doesn't make sense for each guest to buy new every time, if only staying for a few days) but spoke to reception and they provided products for us to use (thanks). Rooms are not big, but we spent most of the time out on the slopes and in town so didn't matter. Warm and clean in the apartment. Small town so everywhere is walkable. Staff at reception, bar and entertainment team were all very friendly and helpful. "

"What a great little find in a brilliant location. In the middle of town and only a short walk to the lift. Rooms are modern, stylish and clean and the hotel reception was very helpful."

"Lorsqu'on arrive dans cet établissement, nous avons un accueil sympathique du gérant, et apres .... l'horreur ! L'hotel n'est pas entretenu, il y a encore sur une table le buffet petit dejeuner avec le pain, des céréales, et rien n'est nettoyé. Nous montons dans les chambres, passage dans la restaurant plutot sale et devant les toilettes remplis de mexxx! "We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Hotel Clotes. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were always helpful at providing recommendations and dinner reservations. My husband is coeliac, and they had gluten free beer available in their bar, as well as a gluten free breakfast each morning. The bedrooms are comfortable and very clean.The reception area doubles as a bar, and a very sociable area for chatting with other guests about the days skiing. We will definitely be returning!"

"We loved chalet del sole - location was amazing right on the piste. It was very quiet when we there so the menu was limited but all the food we had was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but clean and cosy, beds a little bit hard after a full days skiing! Overall we had a great time! "

"We stayed in palace2 for a week. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Used half-board option, the food was great, the restaraunt was accomodating for vegetarian food. The hotel is 15-20 min walk from the slopes, but there is a bus. wifi in the reception area, free. Overall very good."

"TERRIBLE HOTEL. We were overcharged to stay at a glorified youth hostel. This 100 occupancy hotel was taken over by a 70-80 group of badly behaved school children. The owner did not have any consideration for the other guests. I am writing this review to inform anyone who is considering staying at this hotel, as there was not any information (warnings) on any website when we booked our holiday."

"Nice property with ski lodge charm. Good size 2 bedroom accommodation for our family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers). "

"The chalet was perfect for a big group of 11 men (and room for more!), 5 minute walk from La Roche ski lift. There is a bar and ski hire at the bottom of the lift, although no shop, so we drove up to Plagne centre each morning. Communication with Audrey is exceptional, she is extremely attentive and answers your queries quickly. The living room is great for communal dining and evening entertainment (we played lots of cards). The Olympic bobsleigh is a short walk up the hill."

"Excellent! The location for access to the slopes is fantastic, the food options every day were incredible, the boot room is wonderful, rooms spacious and comfortable, excellent wine and then the sauna at the end of a day skiing is divine"

"Harold the General Manager made sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail is outstanding. Everyone was so warm and welcoming from the beginning to the end. From the friendly and professional staff in the ski room, Hugo and the girls at reception, the shuttle bus service, the concierge making all our bookings, the exceptional gourmet buffet breakfast every morning, the lounge area where we sat and listened to the piano being played beautifully by the fireplace. Stayed for a week, could have stayed forever. The views whilst having breakfast are breathtaking, as are the views in our room. And the best part is you are steps away from the snow and skiing. Perfection!"

Hotel Golf, Brides-les-Bains: A Good Value for Ski

Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for affordability and don’t mind the extra travel to the ski areas."
