"one of the headboard reading light was not working. It wasnt clear that breakfast was extra. the front staff made it seem it was included. i could have went somewhere else for breakfast. it wasn't that good. "

"Our room was clean but it was a little dark. I did like the nightlight. Front desk personell were very friendly and helpful. Hallway was being repaired. We stayed on a sunday night so we cannot comment on restaurant or bar."

"Right off the highway. Clean and large room. Comfy bed. Good breakfast with warm options. Staff was fine, not overly friendly/welcoming. Property could use a more thorough cleaning & shows some wear and tear. Can't walk to anything but not a far drive to a few restaurants."

"My room was adequate, even smelled clean when walking in. The AC unit did stop working during my stay. I let the front desk know. They promptly sent maintenence to my room and it was fixed with 20 minutes. Breakfast was great. Hot and cold options! Would stay again! "

"Could hear everything and everyone in the hallways. There was a huge gap in the door. Very thin walls. Kids running everywhere. Otherwise, staff was pleasant and helpful, they gave me a band-aide when I cut my finger. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. "

"While the WiFi didn't work immediately, a phone number for assistance was provided in the room and within 5 minutes a live person (off-site) was able to get my connection working. I was positively impressed. The price is fair and I would stay here again."

"We had a great time at Shelp Lake. The view from the house was beautiful and the beds and couches were extra comfy for all the relaxing and reading we accomplished. "

"We had a fun weekend at the house celebrating my mom's 80th birthday. There is plenty of room and something for everyone to do. The pool area is great, and the grandkids had a blast. I would recommend staying at the house, especially for large groups and kids/teenagers. "
