"The decor of the cottage was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was also really good very near the beach, park, shops and cafes etc. Parking was easy right outside. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed lovely walks along the promenade. "First, the cottage was just perfect! Very clean. Nice, big kitchen complete with all the basics needed for cooking and a table for 4. Fridge was large enough for the two of us and had a small freezer compartment. Large entry area which was perfect for storing golf clubs. Bedroom was large and had a queen bed, twin bed, and wardrobe. Lounge was also very big and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious with tub/shower. Excellent water pressure and quick to get hot water. Communication before and during our stay with Sue, the host was also excellent, and we were very appreciative of the board games she loaned for us to play with the children! "After a long drive to get there it was lovely to dump the cases and get into the hot tub. The accommodation was better than expected and we both enjoyed our stay there. We were told that the drive was a wee bit tight but other than that, no issues"

"Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. You get what you pay for...Let me start by saying the location in Scotland is great for access to many sightseeing locations but the house is on the main road and the bedrooms bordering the road do not allow anyone to sleep past 6am unless you are used to sleeping next to a busy road.
