Our unique property is a second story loft / apartment located in the heart of Historic Downtown Auburn Ca. It is a tastefully remodeled and updated 2 bedroom 1 bath single unit apartment. It sits above a charming retail store located on the main street of Downtown Auburn. Built in 1889 - updated in 2018. We worked hard to keep the charm of the turn of the century character while making sure we updated the space to offer modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We hope you enjoy The Auburn Apartment, and everything Auburn has to offer.

This was our first time using Vrbo & we had a great experience! The location was close to so many options for dining & shopping in downtown. We had all the amenities that we needed & plenty of room for our family of 4. Would definitely stay again!

My Favorite Getaway Apartment
The Apartment will always be my choice whenever I need a Gold Country Auburn fix. It is perfectly located and walkable in the Downtown and to the Old Town, and the apartment is beautiful, comfortable and gives me many inspirations for design and decorating. Love this place.

Favorite VRBO Stay
Our family of four (including two adult children) stayed here for a SECOND time! It's clean, decorated with thoughtful historical charm (but not cutesy or tacky), comfortable, and located right in downtown. Lots of restaurants and shopping just outside the door. This is a gem and the owners are awesome. I highly recommend and would/will stay here every time we visit Auburn!

Perfect Sierra Foothills Apartment

The perfect stay!
I dont want to say too much for the fear it will be booked up in the future! But... if this is my 3rd or 4th stay here, and already pre-booked the next visit, that is saying something. Home away from home❤️
We have now stayed at “The Apartment” about six times in less than two years! We call it our “home away from home! It is cutely decorated, clean and is equipped with everything you will need for a nice and comfortable stay! “The Apartment” Is located downtown in old Auburn amongst shops and dining. The host, Dawn, Is easy to communicate with and work with. You will truly love staying at “The Apartment”!

Great little apartment
We were looking for a place for my family of four to stay that was close to Tahoe for skiing. I was a little nervous about being downtown above shops, but it was quiet and very convenient. Love the historic character of the apartment and the decor. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. The host was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again.

Great find! Traveling around California from the Pittsburgh. This was first stop to visit family in Auburn. Great location, super cute and clean apartment. Good set up for family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Plenty of room for everyone have their own space. Owner was great to work with. Yummy coffee shop with great bagels and oatmeal down the street. Would highly recommend!

Very nice, clean and super roomy. Great location downtown. With location came a couple of nuisances; an “altered state” woman that kept pounding at the door in the early morning and a store alarm. Oh well.

Fun little spot with great decor! Full of charm, character and comfort. The only downside of this location is if you arrive during peak business hours, close street parking is hard to come by so it can be a bit of a trek with luggage. But that can be easily avoided by having some flexibility with arrival time.

What a beautiful place!
Everything about "The Apartment" is perfect. The location couldn't be more convenient for shopping and dining. The unit itself is gorgeous. It's very large and well-supplied with linens, cozy throw blankets, all kinds of useful things in the kitchen, not to mention the comfy leather furniture, the copper kitchen sink, and the amazing lighting fixtures. Loved the frosty glasses in the freezer. It's just wonderful. I didn't want to leave and will certainly stay here again and again. Thank you Dawn and Dan. What a place!

Fantastic experience
I had high hopes for our three-night stay in Auburn at The Apartment, and they were exceedingly met. We were so happy with the loft apartment and its location. We walked to most everything we wanted to see. Auburn has delightful museums and little stores. The place was quiet yet convenient to restaurants. The kitchen had what we needed for simple meals, the beds are comfortable, the furnishings are perfect, and it was fun to look out the windows and see downtown below. Lots of hiking is nearby. Dawn was helpful both before and during our stay. I very much hope to be able to return next time we are in Auburn.
