Great for a family weekend. Close to Emerson Park and Springside Inn. We had a banquet to attend at Springside Inn and this locstion has only a 5 minute drive
We stayed here Labor Day weekend with a group of 12 people. The location is great and the house has lots of room inside and outside. The owner is working to update the house and it is evident throughout the house. They were very responsive to questions and we would definitely stay here again.
Went in October for a trip with some old friends. Property was beautiful. Plenty of space for 7 of us. Wrap around deck over looking the lake was awesome. Kitchen and grill met all of our needs.
The owner was very accommodating and responsive. Would highly recommend this property for a large group.
Five of my women friends and I stayed at this beautiful home for a long weekend. It was the perfect spot for us to relax, catch up with each other and have a great time. The front porch overlooking the lake was the perfect place to spend a good amount of our time. The house is large and beautiful. We had everything we needed.
We stayed one night for my daughter's 16 birthday. She did shopping and dinner in Skaneateles with friends, and then back to the property to hang out for the evening/night! There were 11 of us total and the house provided LOTS of room and choices for sleeping accommodations! Its a HUGE place with lots of room and easy access to Owasco Lake (right across street) or a short drive to Skaneateles! Its a fun property!
10 of us stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. We were all able to have our own comfortable bed and what felt like our own bathrooms. Perfect place for what we needed it to accomplish. Huge yard and right across the road from the lake. Host was very responsive with any questions
Perfect for our extended family attending a wedding
Plenty of bedrooms, dining and sitting areas for our family group of 12 adults and 1 child. The well appointed kitchen allowed us to prepare meals for all of us. Walking distance to Emerson park. It is an older house with great charm and plenty of porch space. It is in the process of updating not reflected in site photos. Recommend if attending a wedding at Emerson Park!
My main complaint was the listing said basic soaps
To me that should include shower soap- all other places I have stayed have as well as shampoos
We arrived at the property at 10 pm and had to go out to the store to buy soap so we could all shower in the morning
That was the major disappointment. Otherwise the house is spacious and well kept
We stayed at this gorgeous lake home for 4 nights at the end of August 2024. It was perfect for our whole family including all the grandkids. Our 6 year old grandson said “it would have been really perfect if there were kitties”. We rented a boat from Owasco Marina.
I would advise that you bring your own toiletries, only hand soap was provided. Also, if you want separate towels for the beach, bring your own.
The current instruction manual is outdated, it lists a previous owner, so follow the email instructions.
There is a fire pit, but the wood was not split or aged well.
Other than the above minor inconveniences, it was a perfect week.
The house was huge and the lake was amazing for wading in on hot days. The house has a few quirky elements as many old houses do (lots of doors, lots of light switches) but the place was perfect for our family attending a our sons wedding at Emerson park. The front porch was amazing…we just
The house was clean and spacious with a warm inviting atmosphere. The view and yard were made for enjoyment. We had a large group and it was so nice that bedrooms and bathrooms were in abundance. The dining table was made for this type occasion.
We had a fantastic stay here as basecamp for our wedding weekend. The proximity to Emerson Park was convenience itself, but beyond that, the house was a beautiful place for getting ready photos, and a great hangout spot for our group the night before the wedding. The wraparound porch was heaven on a late spring evening and I wish we could have stayed longer. The numbers of beds and baths was enough for our group of 12. We even had enough space for waltz practice :)
The host was extremely communicative and kindly accommodated an early check-in. I would recommend this home to anyone.
