And most of the place we visited were only 30 mins drive away. "Despite it being very low season and most of St Valery sur Somme being shut for annual holidays, we had a lovely time. We were aware beforehand that this was the case. We have stayed at this lovey Gite before and it was fabulous then. Situated in the heart of the town it has beautiful views over the bay and is a lovely cosy fisherman’s cottage. Great facilities and beautifully clean. The check in was as easy as always and we hope to stay again. Thank you."

"We have just returned home from a wonderful 5 night stay in Beussent. The village is lovely and peaceful with a lovely stream running through. The house itself was great, a little small upstairs and I did feedback that they should advertise bedroom 2 as interconnecting. This is ideal for families with smaller children but with 3 teenagers - not ideal. The downstairs space and garden was perfect. We visited Montreuil many times and beautiful Le Touquet. Would 100% return and the weather was HOT!"

"We have just enjoyed a wonderful 3 day stay. The property is brilliantly located in the middle of town with restaurants, shops and bakery all within a couple of minutes. A great base for exploring the local area. The property is well equipped and very comfortable. There is paid parking near the property. Our elderly uncle did find the stairs very steep so the house is not very suitable with those with limited mobility."

"Ideal location for the good quality golf courses in the area. Whilst this is a good property there were a few areas that we thought could be improved on. We arrived on a Sunday evening and shops are closed in France. A welcome pack with a few essentials would be appreciated. Listing on VRBO advised that towels were provided, none in the gite, not even a tea towel for drying up. "Our second year here. Superb location right on the sand dunes only 10 mins walk to Merlimont Plage beach. Perfect holiday with our Dog. From Merlimont (which is very quiet and not a lot going on) it is a 90 min walk on the sand to either Le Touquet or Berck sur Mer. Also the property manager, Michael was very attentive. He responded straight away when we had difficulty finding the UK TV channels and came out and reset the satellite for the TV."

Saying that, host was very responsive and helpful and answered all our questions. Location was great and house was comfortable. You have to pay for parking on all roads but spaces right outside. "This is a very well appointed appartment with a great view and location. Bright, modern and well-equipped it met the needs of three friends of a certain age perfectly.
