"Had a fine stay here. Was offered an upgrade to a king room on arrival. The room wasn’t renovated but met our needs. Room was clean, a couple of small hairs on the sheets but nothing worrisome. Staff was all fabulous - especially at the restaurant! "

"Just a brief stay as my daughter had an appointment the following morning. We always choose the Barrington for its easy access to parking, food court, shopping, etc…. My daughter also loves the pool here. Although this time I would not allow her to go in the pool because of the murky water and the dirt around the outer edges of the pool. It was very disappointing as the pool is always what she looks forward to and to have to keep her out was upsetting. Hopefully next time we come it will be...

"It was a wonderful experience. The beds were really comfortable. The parking garage is really tight for bigger vehicles, but besides that, it's a perfect spot to stay in downtown Halifax. "

"Hotel is generally very good, however the rooms are starting to show their age. The rooms also lack some amenities in the showers (no shampoo/conditioner). The pool is very nice here especially since the hotel generally has fewer children given its lack of breakfast and proximity to the casino. Good option for adults without children."
