This is a 1750 square foot home on Core Sound that has recently been renovated. It features an open floor plan with a large kitchen, counter seating for 4 and a dining table for 8, all with spectacular water views. There are 3 bedrooms(2 downstairs and 1 upstairs) and 3 baths. The home will sleep 8 comfortably. There are 2 covered porches and a large waterside deck with comfortable seating. Outside there is a covered cooking area with grills and gas cookers. Launch your kayak off of or tie your boat to the pier. Bait the crab trap that is provided and enjoy a meal of blue crabs and rock crab claws. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a washer and dryer provided for your convenience in a laundry nook off of the main bathroom.
You may see dolphin in the sound or bald eagles in the sky.

We love down east nc. Quiet and calm waterfront. Sunrise with dolphin pod and catching little croakers from dock. Grandkids making memories of fish, crabs, birds, boats, and fun. Thank you to the owners. Thumbs up on exterior repaint, deck chairs, and deck remodeling!

We’ve had much sadness in our family this past year. This trip was just what we needed .Fishing,watching boats coming and going. The peace and tranquillity is Beyond what we expected. Quiet family getaway. Grandparents, kids, amd grandkids taught to catch crabs on lines and in pot. Caught pinfish, small croakers and three dogfish and a 8 pound shark! Ate meals, laughed, talked around firepit and unwound from daily grind. Great improvements on deck, outdoor furniture and paint outside. Thank you!

Perfect getaway

Peace and quiet just what we were looking for.
The inside was very nice. Large kitchen. Love the outside deck to sit at night and watch and listen to the ocean. Got to see lots of different birds and we got to see dolphins. We would do this again.

Great time had by all!
We had such an amazing time. This was our first trip visiting NC. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the dock and the porch. The kids enjoyed paddle boarding on the sound, catching crabs and looking for shells. We enjoyed traveling and exploring nearby towns during the day and coming back to the best place to relax and unwind. We look forward to visiting again!

It was very relaxing and beautiful scenery. House has everything you can cook with and paper products. Never stayed anywhere that they supplied those. Even though we brought our own. Looking forward to coming back.

Great place for the family!
This is our fifth year staying here. It was amazing as usual! We kept our boat at the dock and spent time fishing in the sound and the ocean. We also caught crabs from the dock. There are two free boat ramps five miles from the house and one paid ramp ($5) 200 yards from the house in the harbor.

So amazing that we come every single year!
We love staying at this house. The house faces towards the sound with great views. We bring our boat every year and tie it to the dock. The crabbing was great, fishing was good, and enjoyed eating our fresh caught seafood. This area is very quiet. There are no tourists, just locals. There doesn't appear to be any crime and everyone is friendly.

Perfect location if you have a boat!
We have spent the last two vacations at this house. Its a great place to bring your boat. It is 15 mins from the inlet by boat and 30 mins from the offshore reef by boat. We caught plenty of fish and crabs and ate seafood the entire week. The house is WELL stocked with everything you need (spices, condements, paper goods, etc),

Sound Getaway
We really enjoyed the stay. The house wss wonderful and the scenery was beautiful. The hosts were very attentive and answered questions promptly. The only thing was the cell phone reception was terrible. Couldnt call or text out. Wish it had been listed in description. However it was listed in the book at the house. Overall, great stay though.

Relaxing Vacation
Thank you for a wonderful stay! George and Margo are amazing hosts! They are two of the most genuine people and made sure we knew how to contact them if we needed anything! The area is very quiet and great for unwinding. The kitchen is well stocked with all the needed items to cook meals which made dinners easy to prepare. The house has amazing views and we were able to see dolphins, birds, crabs, as well as shrimp boats coming in and out of the marina. We were able to keep our boat at the dock and spent time fishing in the sound and on the dock. We had a great time and will be back soon!
