The staff were very nice. The property was clean and I was provided with the basics. However, the AC did not work very well, and it was sometimes loud at night due to the location being downtown.

This was a last-minute booking, and I saw it online with one price, I called the hotel to see their price and found out it was higher, and they wouldn't honor the online price, which was a bummer. Then I asked if they offer government prices, and right away, the answer was no! Not let me find out or anything else. When I got to the hotel under the terrible weather, I was informed that the Air Conditioning had broken down that morning, I got there at 530pm, it was something they could have said over the phone when I first called. when I got to the hotel and was told all of this, I asked what the hotel would be willing to do for me if I chose to stay. The young lady behind the counter didn't have an answer at all, many guests had checked out or canceled their reservations because of the AC not working. I had a long day of travel and was super tired. I asked where their parking was since their site said parking was provided. She told me was down the street and I had to pay for it! I asked since I was staying at the hotel which had no working AC, if they would pay for my parking, she told me she had to call her boss and ask which would be around 800pm. Then I got to my room and noticed that it had no fridge, it felt dirty, and the plumbing wasn't working correctly. Then I went back to the front counter, pulled up a picture from the website, show her the picture to compare it to the actual room, it looked nothing like the website. Extremely disappointed.

Hotel completely catfished the listing. Instead of a view of that Ferris Wheel in downtown, I was face to face with the wall of a neighboring building. Literally 6 inches from the window. Not to mention the stains on the floor all over the building from god knows what. Don’t waste your time or money.

I was placed in one room that was still quite dirty and OLD. Everything was so old; outdated. There was an odd smell everywhere. I couldn't believe it. Because of the filth in the first room I was given, the front desk person switched my room. So now I'm in a new room that was also old/outdated and the housekeeper had to clean the tub immediately. There were no towels either. Housekeeping said they'd bring some, which took 3 hours!!! I couldn't believe it! Front desk folks were kind. Head of Housekeeping was very personable and understanding. Unfortunately, I don't foresee myself ever choosing this hotel again...at least not until it gets a real overhaul.

There was a bad smell in these rooms with very old furniture. The biggest advantage of the hotel is that it is in a central location. The staff at the reception were friendly and attentive.

The hotel room was in terrible shape! Desk chair ripped and stained, bathroom was beyond dirty. The tub was stained and cracked, the counters were also stained and cracked, the floor was not sweep at all. The bathroom door didnt close all the way and was broken at the bottom. On the back side it looks like a pet was in there and chewedd the whole bottom of the door. The floors were maybe vaccumed, but were damp when we arrived. Air conditioning was only usable on heat. The smell of the room wasnt great either. However this morning we checked out, who i assumed was the manager was absolutely wonderful. She greeted us, interacted, just overall wonderful and she validated my parking. If the room was better, because of her id come back.

We arrived on Friday 12:00 AM with confirmed reservations and the hotel told us there were no more rooms. This was the night of the computer problems at the airports around the world. The non airconditioned hotel room was taken by the guest in front of us who were also waiting with reservation. We got our money back from Expedia and some added credits for our inconvenience.

I booked a room through Expedia and paid in advance only to find no rooms were available when I arrived. Attempts to contact Expedia or Barclay Hotel to receive a refund have failed. I’ve not been able to speak to a live agent through Expedia and no one answers the phone at Barclay! I will be going through my credit card company to reverse charges!

It’s frustrating when you pick something that Expedia calls “Very Good” only to find a royal dump when you get there. Vents were caked in thick layers of dust. Yellow stained pillow cases and lamps. Moldy smell. Unprofessional staff.
