THE PERFECT SPOT FOR A GROUP SKI/TUBING TRIP TO HUNTER OR WINDHAM MOUNTAINS, WITHOUT THE CRAZY PRICE!! A SCENIC 45/55 MIN TRIP TO EITHER MOUNTAIN. Our spacious yet warm 5 bedroom home with gorgeous lake views, private dock and fire pit, is the perfect retreat for family and friends. Camp Summer Wind, located 20 minutes from Hudson and 10 minutes from Coxsackie, offers the very best of lake living combined with home entertainment and a gourmet chef's kitchen.

Impeccably cared for and well-appointed home offers 5 large bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, direct lake access, kayaking, paddle boarding, sunbathing, fire pit, hammock, wifi, media room and projection screen, gourmet kitchen, multiple decks and outdoor activities, 5 burner stainless steel grill, board games, ping pong and air hockey, darts, xbox one and two gas fireplaces.

While we named our home "Camp Summer Wind", there are so many activities in every season. Outside of everything lake living offers in the summer, the Catskill area boasts some of the best leaf peeping around. From the drive up the Taconic and views on the lake, to all the local hiking. Hikes range in difficulty and lead to Hudson Valley treasures and waterfalls. There are an abundance of farms within a short distance for apple and pumpkin picking in addition to fresh fruits and veggies. For our snow bunnies, we are 40/50 minutes from beautiful Hunter and Windham Mountains. In addition to world class skiing and snowboarding, there are zip-lines, tubing, and many other activities for all ages. Our home is situated within Sleepy Hollow Lake, a private residential community located in beautiful Greene County along the Hudson River. We are located in a smaller cove off the main lake, perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and floating. Guests will have access to our private on-property dock and kayaks and SUP boards, as well as all of the amenities the community has to offer: two outdoor pools, beach, tennis and paddle ball courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, driving range and small hikes.

Beautiful Place to Host Geekend

Perfect Thanksgiving
My family and I had the most comfortable stay at this lovely home. Nicole and Dave made sure every detail was perfect to make us feel at home. The house is situated with on great property gorgeous view. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back again.

Great stay - beautiful property
We stayed here this fall and it was really beautiful - the house itself is comfortable for a large group allowing for people to have their space, yet also have great places to relax. The backyard is amazing and a big highlight. You have the lake, and while we weren't taking advantage of the amenities due to weather, it was still a great place to hang out and enjoy the view when we could. The hosts were very responsive and maintain the property incredibly well. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the lakehouse for my birthday weekend in June 2019 and we had the nicest time. The house is spacious and clean, the homeowners instructions were very easy to follow and the property was beautiful. Highly recommend this house for a relaxing lakeside weekend!!!!

Great time was had by all
We had three generations of the family. Very nice comfortable house accommodated us all. The children were delighted by the playroom. Swimming and kayaking from the dock was fun and enjoyed by all. Smores by the firepit was delightful. Also took a little day trip to Legoland, one of the children's biggest dream.

Our second stay here
The house is fabulous. We had a wonderful time. I love the kitchen and the 2 fireplaces. The dining room table is the largest one we have seen. It is wonderful to have all of us sit together for meals. This house is at the top of the list of homes we have stayed at. We stay at a VRBO's 3-4 times a year. I would stay here more often, however it books up fast. Thank you Nicole for another wonderful vacation.

Excellent property. Ideal for large family vacation
Well equipped kitchen with everything needed to eat in. Property well maintained and lots of equipment to enjoy lake. Plenty of outdoor space and interior of house had plenty of room for family activities. The only negative comment would be the oven in kitchen was quite dirty and needed a good cleaning.

Beautiful comfortable house!
The owners Nicole and David were great to work with and very responsive. The house had everything you could want. Great space and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the Lake but we still had a great time. I would definitely rent this house again.

Perfect!
This home is great for a large family gathering. We had 11 female adults and never felt cramped even in the kitchen as we all participated in cooking and cleaning :) The entire home was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and very accommodating. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back in the future.

Perfect in every way
This property could have not been better. It is beautiful and very well supplied. The owners are always available and took care of our every need. When some uninvited wasps joined us they were removed within hours. Thank you Nicole and David. We hope to visit again.

Fantastic house. Fantastic owners. Fantastic experience.
The experience was tremendous from the start. The owners were very easy to work with. All of their requests were reasonable, and they were extremely responsive throughout. The house itself was recently renovated to a very high spec. It had everything needed for a great weekend away: space, amenities, location, etc. We could not have been happier with the overall experience, and I look forward to returning here in the future.

We could not have asked for more! What a beautiful and wonderful home filled with good energy and surrounded by nature. Very comfortable lake retreat.
This house on Sleepy Hollow Lake was extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. We were a family group of 4 couples and 4 kids ranging from 13 months to 6 years. Even though the weather was mostly rainy we still took advantage of swimming off the dock, kayaking and the lake association pool and sandy beach. We also enjoyed exploring some restaurants in Hudson. The owners were very easy to reach for any reason and pleasant to work with. I would definately go back.

Amazing House!!
My friends and I have been renting houses for nearly 20 years and THIS house is by far the best one we have ever stayed in! It really is quite spectacular! Every detail has been covered. The owners were extremely easy to deal with and very accommodating. Anyone who knows Sleepy Hollow Lake, knows how Majestic and Tranquil the whole community is. This house only enhances the experience of being on the Lake and enjoying its splendor!! Without question a 5 Star experience!

NCAA Annual Boys Trip
We had a fanatastic time at Camp Summer Wind. The house was amazing with plenty of space and the perfect setting for our annual college/HS friends get together! Nicole and Dave were amazing and their communication was great! They made everything very easy! Really appreciate the organization of everything in the house. They have everything labeled so no need to go looking for anything! Awesome experience and we can't wait to go back! Thanks Nicole and Dave!

Comfortable home in a great setting
This rental was lovely and had everything we needed for a week of vacation at a lake house. The setting on a protected cove of a larger lake was great - calm, quiet, and serene - and also enabled exploration opportunities if you were up for longer kayaking adventures. There was plenty of space in the home for two families with four adults and four kids (including a newborn!), and the tiered outdoor area also accommodated all of us nicely. The comfortable furnishings and high-end features of the home (master bath double shower heads, large Sub-Zero refrigerator, separate wine fridge, easy to use gas grill, etc.) enabled us to have a comfortable and enjoyable vacation.

Great stay for a winter weekend
The house was amazing. Exactly as described in the pictures. We had a group of 8 and had more than enough room and could have comfortably fit more if we wanted too. House was great and everything was set up for us as soon as we got there including a welcome basket from the owners Nicole and Dave. The were great to deal with through the whole experience and made sure we had a great time. This house was great for a winter weekend getaway and it now has us considering a summer getaway to fully utilize the lake. I have rented houses off this site for 6 years now and this one is one of our favorites. Highly recommended.

Very attentive owners, beautiful house
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Summer Wind. The house is represented well in the description and the amenities abound. Plenty of space, lots of comfortable furnishings, special little touches. Unfortunately while we were renting, the lake was closed due to an algae bloom, which definitely changed the vacation that we had envisioned. But Nicole and Dave were quick to update us with all the news, forward on deals and specials that were being given to the neighborhood association members because of the closure, and even researched alternate lake and kayaking opportunities for us. That went above and beyond and we were appreciative of that.

comfortable, beautifully decorated and terrific lake access
My extended family just returned from a 5 day stay at the Summer Wind. Everything is just as depicted in the photos, only better "in person". We were 9 adults and 3 small children, ages 4 and under. There was ample room to accommodate all of us. Inside the house there are plenty of items available to entertain adults and children alike. Outside, the yard offers many areas to relax. And if kayaking is your thing, you will not be disappointed. The house is equipped with 4 kayaks and a number of life jackets. Nicole and Dave were an absolute pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend spending some time at the Summer Wind.
