The good news is that the Aspen Mountain Lodge was a comfortable place to stay, good bed, reasonably quiet, there was a nice breakfast buffet in the morning, and the staff, though not full-time, was quite helpful. It's also a good location, a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk to Aspen Mountain. The less-than-good news is that my room, though decently sized and well outfitted with towels, tissues, etc., was on the slightly shabby side, with stained carpet and B-minus housekeeping. The biggest problem: it takes 15 minutes for the water in the shower to get hot! And then it doesn't get all that hot! Lukewarm-to-cold showers three days in a row!
