Basic riad for a rustic Moroccan experience
The riad is located a few minuets walk from the road on the side of a hill with spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains. The owner and staff are very knowledgable and helpful. The mountain guide they arranged for me was very good. The building is very basic and was rather cold when I stayed. However, it was spotlessly clean. For a stay in an authentic mountain village for those who don't need home comforts, this is a great place.

Stay away in Winter
We had arranged with Hassan to be picked up from the airport', but no one came, so we had to pay again for a taxi. Our room was not ready, so we were given a room downstairs, and some tea, which was most welcome. The room was freezing cold, no heater, no hot water, no soap, no towels, no toilet paper, no plug, two inch gap under balcony door. THe bedding was dirty and smelly, pillows slimy. We were exhausted and hungry, having waited for our lift for three hours after our flight etc. It was so cold it was difficult to sleep and we had to ask for another blanket. We awoke in the morning to an argument between another guest and the young man who gave us the tea, about the awful service and the state of her room. We asked for some heating and were given a very small ancient gas heater. The view from the balcony was magnificent. Breakfast was a couple of pieces of quite stale bread and jam and sweet tea. W e decided to leave and asked the young man to arrange a taxi for us. A real shame. We had wanted to explore the area. We had paid in advance, and we felt he could have let us stay in his Riad in Marrakech, but he was not willing to do so. We left and went to Marrakech

December in Chez les Berberes
I spent a week in this guest house in December, with only two others spending a night each. The GH was devoid of heating until the single staff member provided me with a fan heater, later removed for a night to accommodate one of the other guests. It's replacement, a gas bottle heater, was warm but the fumes it gave were most unhealthy and stung the eyes. It proved better to be cold than ill! The rooms were exceptionally cold, my having to wear a duvet jacket for most of the time, especially during mealtimes and when reading in my room The shower took some working out, and although it eventually gave hot water I was not always certain of its arrival. Meals were good and nutritious. The terrace, as shown in the photo, requires some attention and repairs if it is to be as comfortable as it appears in the photo. Maybe it was the time of year and summer would be different.

The views from the terrace and balcony were amazing! Hassan was very sweet and kind, as was the Berber lady who worked there. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinners onsite were super delicious as our 8 month -old baby was often asleep by this time, so we couldn't venture out. If you're after a baby crib, best to email/ call to confirm in advance. Whilst it was available and we requested this through hotels.com, when we got there, no crib for the duration of the stay (3 nights). The accommodation is remote and basic/simple, they don't seem to check emails regularly.

A room with a mountain view
My wife and I stayed at this lovely quaint guest house for 7 nights. The views from the bedroom and roof terrace were spectacular and allowed to us to watch the world go by whether it be Berber families going about daily life, to goats and sheep running through the narrow alleyways up or from the craggy rocks behind the guest house. The owner Hassan was a most generous, attentive and hospitable host. Offering advise on walks/hikes and other villages to visit nearby and importantly what we should be paying for using local transport services. He even offered to go to a nearby village to purchase some camera batteries for us as we had inadvertently bought the wrong ones. Although Hassan's wife was ill and not present during our stay this did not diminish in anyway the excellent service we received. The breakfasts and evening meals were superb. Whatever time of day we came back to the guest house we were always given a refreshing pot of mint tea. The fact that our holiday felt more like a fortnight than a week is a testament to the relaxing atmosphere that Les Chez Berberes generates.

Guest house in heart of traditional Berber village
Lovely place to stay if you want to be in a traditional village, surrounded by livestock and children. Good food and comfortable rooms. Difficult to find after dark, but children will always help

Paradise in the middle of nowhere!
Highly recommend staying a night or two at this quiant little bed and breakfast style hotel. The owner is extremely friendly and the the roof space is amazing. Fantastic views overlooking the Atlas Mountains and unique experience taking a mule to and from the road, ( 10 mins or so) up the path to the hotel. As they say, some of the best things in life are off the beaten path and this is certainly a treat if you are willing to get there!

toller Ausblick - sehr spartanisch

An amazing stay in the mountains !
Hassan and Khonya who own the little guest house in Imlil are extremely kind and very helpfull with whatever you need. The room we stayed in had the most incredible view and both the livingroom area and our private room were beautifully decorated with gorgeous, colourful, local decorations! Khonya makes the most delicious meals, which are very authentic to Morrocan food tradition. We can strongly recommend staying at Chez les Berberes if you want an authentic and nice local experience in the beautiful surroundings of the mountains.
