"The location of the house was superb for morning and afternoons on the beach for swimming, relaxing and introducing a toddler to the sea. The house itself was beautifully equipped and comfortable for us all, and the small town perfect for early morning coffee and excellent croissants with a choice of small restaurants for other meals. Great location for exploring the sights of Normandy too."

"This property offer a lot to a vacationer. A lot of Beds and Baths means everyone gets what they need. So many amenities . On street parking was not a problem since it is a dead end street. A few learning curves to handle for someone visiting from another country. Still, it is worth the effort."

The fittings - furniture, bathroom fittings and kitchen ware - were old and worn. There was lots of crockery but few pieces of cutlery and mugs - unless you wanted chipped or plastic ones. "Quiet situation. The house is on quite a narrow impasse and the gate is not enormous. Anyone with a car larger than ours (Skoda Yeti 1m 75 cm wide) could find it a bit tight getting in and out. There are some parking spaces round the corner. All contact was with the concierge, timely and professional. The sea-facing terrace also faces north and can be bracing, but the one overlooking the garden is quite a sun-trap, and sheltered. There is adequate shopping in Asnelles with a small Carrefour...

"The house was very modern and new. The room arrangements were good for our group. One bedroom en-suite was on the ground floor which was nice. The house is outside the bustle of Caen but an easy drive to get there. Plus, grocery stores and restaurants were just a few minutes away. Because the area is new there was a lot of road construction with new roads not showing accurately on our GPS. As a result, we had a hard time finding our way in and out of the area during our stay. Nice hotel in a great location.

"A very nice clean and well located hotel. We arrived later in the evening and they had upgraded us to a room with a view of the Cathedral. Breakfast was good and well priced. It was only for one night, but I would have liked to have been able to stay longer. Only down side was the lack of an elevator, at least for the part of the hotel we were in."
