Set in an elevated position overlooking the beautiful Duddon Estuary, Peat House (ref W41088), a wing of the owner’s former farmhouse, and Moorside Lodge (ref W43062), a single-storey lodge which is situated in the ground of the owner’s farm, provide an idyllic holiday retreat, and have been lovingly furnished. This is an ideal base for a coastal holiday, and is also close to the south western Lake District Fells and Lakes. The village of Askam has a good range of shops and a railway station, where you can take a trip along the Cumbrian coast and through glorious countryside, with wonderful views. There is an abundance of walks right on the doorstep, whilst Coniston Water is only a 30-minute drive. Grizedale Forest Dalton Animal Park, 4 miles, makes an excellent day out, with a variety of wild animals from around the world. Lake Windermere and many historic houses and gardens easily accessible for days out. If relaxation is your preferred activity why not just sit on the terrace and enjoy the wonderful views. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.75 miles.

Cosy lodge with amazing views.

Really lovely, clean chalet .
This is a really lovely log cabin in a lovely quiet location. It was very clean with everything you could possibly need. An ideal base for visiting the lakes and hills of the Lake District. A quick look at the visitors book will confirm that many others have had the same experience.
