"We wanted to find a pub with good food and close to Rutland waters to go biking. We stayed at the Fox and Hounds in Exton for 2 nights. It is situated next to a beautiful grassy square of big, mature trees. Big, safe parking area. The pub area is gorgeous, lovely big fireplaces, variety of seating. The dining room is really beautiful, full of character and the food is absolutely delicious. This is all down to the publican’s lovely Greek wife who is also the chef. "Very dirty place, didn’t even dare having a shower, I stayed for the night cuz I am a student and couldn’t afford paying for an other accommodation when I had already paid for this one! The walls are paper thin... if you want good sleep don’t go there even if you’re on a budget "

"Perfect night stay at Harlestone retreat, very clean room with tea and coffee available the bed was so comfortable i slept all night and needed an alarm to wake me up. I will be staying again for sure. It would be nice if they could leave a bowl of fruit or a drink as a welcome pack ( even if it costed me more money ) It was nice to relax in front of a big TV with some great films to choose from. Very clean shower and toilet. Overall it was just what i needed. "
