Set in the pretty village of Wye, Mitford Lodge is the ideal base to explore this beautiful part of Kent with the historic City of Canterbury, the charming Kent coastal towns and the gorgeous Wye valley all within easy reach. Mitford Lodge is ideal for couples wanting to relax in their own home from home, with all the amenities of this lovely Kentish village on their doorstep.
The village boasts an award winning pub, The King’s Head, and a popular restaurant, The Wife of Bath, along with a selection of local independent boutique shops and food suppliers.
The lodge is actually a detached two storey garage block that has been expertly converted into a lovely, comfortable holiday home. It has a ground floor open plan modern kitchen with dining table and chairs, and a separate utility cupboard. Stairs lead to the first floor sitting room with sofa and chair, TV and lovely views across the park and countryside beyond. The double bedroom and bathroom are also on the first floor.
And whilst the lodge only has a small outside seating area, just a few paces will take you into a lovely large park with open spaces, trees for shady picnics and access to footpaths into the countryside.
The owner has also kindly supplied the code for the private tennis club courts within the park, so guests can enjoy a game of tennis or two.
Use of the private courts at Wye Tennis Court Club. Booking information to be supplied 1 week prior to arrival The owner lives next door to the lodge
