We stayed here overnight to attend a show at the Salvage Station. It was very conveniently located in downtown within walking distance to several restaurants. Quiet enough for a good night's sleep and easy parking. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel is conveniently located and so cute. It reminds me of the type of hotel my family used to stay in when I was a kid. I will definitely stay here again.
The Downtown Inn was fantastically situated for exploring Asheville - 5mins walk and you are in the hard of the city. The accommodation was basic but clean and fairly quite for it being downtown.
It was clean, comfortable, had excellent power-strips (a highly underrated luxury when you travel with electronics), was affordable and had the most beautiful mountain views I've seen!
The stay at Downtown Inn was great! It is central to every place we wanted to go. It is walking distance to some great pubs and bars, as well as shopping. The room was exactly as described and very comfortable. I will definitely book here again and highly recommend the property.
This is probably our third time staying at downtown inn and suites. You can't beat the price for the location. It is an older, motel type property, but we still enjoy it due to the price and location. We will be back!

Kind of Sketchy
We felt this Inn was kind of ran down. Our room was right next to the street and there were motorcycles and loud cars driving by, revving their motors. The location was great for walking around downtown, but it was on the rough end of everything. The breakfast was the most disappointing part. Almost nothing offered, my daughter said her waffle tasted strange, and they didn’t even have coffee readily available. We will not return to this Inn.
My daughter and I were on our way through Asheville so really just needed a place to sleep. This spot was perfectly fine for that- clean and comfortable. I would call it a vintage motel, I felt like I was stepping back a few decades!

The room itself was mediocre at best, but doable. Parking however was ridiculous. They claim onsite parking, but didn't have any available. Desk clerk was clueless and wasted over an over of my time sending me to different places to park. Room was very noisy. Never again.
This is an old-school motel type facility; the doors to the rooms are outside . My uppity children were a little concerned at first, but I told them we were fine.
This is one of the cleanest establishments I’ve been to in years. For an old structure I couldn’t believe how clean it was. Also, I had booked the wrong nights, and they accommodated my mistake without charging me extra and providing me a room. It is so close to everything you want to do in downtown Asheville. No need for a car, you can walk everywhere.

At check-in I was told that their parking was full and that I'd need to "go find a parking garage." When I asked where to do that, the desk clerk was of very little help and basically wanted me to "google it". I told her I was unfamiliar with the area and needed some guidance, as Asheville is a very busy and congested area. She then googled it herself and told me to park in a parking garage two doors down. After circling the block and no parking garage to be found (only two public pay to park lots) I returned to the clerk again and (after having to convince her that they weren't garages) was told to park in the garage a little further down the street, only to find that was a private garage for permanent tenants of the building. Once again, back to the clueless clerk who told me to park in one of the public lots and I would be reimbursed. I did so, but had to move my car at 6:00am the next morning to yet another lot because of their time restrictions. For which I had to pay for again and that lot had an even shorter time limit on it that would barely cover me through checkout time. Plus when I went back to the new morning desk clerk, he couldn't reimburse me because his computer was tied up. All of this for a one night stay in a mediocre (at best) room/hotel. Which at least had a nice looking pool but, by the time I finally got settled into my room was already closed at 8pm. Extremely unimpressed with my stay at the Downtown Inn at Asheville NC & will definitely not return!
The location is perfect, with just a short walk to many breweries, restaurants, and other attractions. It was a quick ride onto the main highways to get to several popular hiking areas. Breakfast was a bonus to get me an early start. Had everything in the room to meet my needs.
