Little place in the woods
Cute place in a quiet, heavy area about 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. Checkin couldn’t be easier and the place had everything we needed. Clean and super tidy. If you want to be someplace quiet, peaceful and wooded, yet still close to everything, this is the place

The loft was lovely inside but the views to outside were spectacular. Comfortable beds and lots of room to move around. Would definitely stay there again.

Great little spot a quick drive to downtown Asheville ands its many shops and restaurants.
The loft space is nice with two bedrooms, a living room, a small den with a tv and a kitchen that was easily workable for two people. The deck is nice and has a gas grill that we didn’t get around to using. We did spend some time each evening sitting out there enjoying snacks, wine and peace and quiet. We went to a few of the wineries in the area and enjoyed good food wherever we ate. And Asheville is very pet friendly so my friend’s little dog had a good stay also. It was a “bucket list” trip for both of us and if we decide another visit is in order we would definitely check to see if this space is available.

The Artist’s Mountain Retreat was a wonderful, cozy home away from home. Clean and comfy, close to downtown Asheville! The kitchen was well equipped and we ate in several times. A wonderful time was had by all.

Not dog friendly and snake greeted us.
No place to walk your dogs, except down a step driveway and out onto the road. We also were great by a snake on the pathway to the rental when we came back out from initial walk thru. We did not stay. We would have had to risk the snake again slipping on the step driveway or being run off the road walking the dogs. Street had no lighting to see or be seen.

The owners are friendly, informative and kind. Lovely space to stay in. Sat on the porch in the evening. Drove up the road to beautiful Mountain View’s. Love Weaversville! This was a relaxing and convenient place to stay!!!

It is a very clean, quiet setting. Owners are very nice. The setting is peaceful. We would stay again. The space is very open. The natural light coming through the windows is something we enjoyed very much. The beds were comfortable. We had not expected the openness of the ceilings between the bedrooms and kitchen, but this wasn't a big deal for us either since we were with our children. We realized that we were more of a 2-bathroom group at times, but we made do, and it was still a nice stay. The USB ports in the bedrooms was nice and needed. Thank you to the owners for the nice accommodations.

Spring getaway
We enjoyed the spaciousness of our trip Jace and that it was tucked away just outside of town where it was quiet but close by car to anything you wanted to do. Great to have WiFi and had everything we needed. Ashville is a wonderful place and the scenery is excellent in any direction. Loved the RAD district and Biltmore tour and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful Loft!
Robert was personable and accommodating. The loft was perfect for my daughter and I. The decor was artistic and tasteful and the amenities were just what we needed. The location was close enough to everything we needed but just far enough to be quiet and in nature. The view of the skies and trees through the windows was amazing. We will definitely choose to stay there again when back in the area.

Visiting Ashland
We have stayed at many VRBO's, this one was super for the 2 of us. Brand new outdoor grill and back deck furniture. Super comfortable, firm beds and couches. Kitchen well equipped for cooking...included some basic spices, teas and coffee too. Unit has a heating and a/c unit mounted to a wall up high, so not central heat air...but totally adequate. As such, the 2 bedrooms walls do not extend to the ceiling to allow for air flow. Works well, but depending on people in your group, it may not work. All in all, we loved our stay. We would recommend this unit to others and plan to stay again during our next visit to Ashville. Super friendly and responsive owner that helped us with one issue immediately.

Wonderful and Restful Retreat (with all amenities)!
A relaxing retreat north of Asheville, filled with all the amenities and conveniences one may want during a vacation. I was there for R&R with a pet and found I never went to downtown Asheville as the natural beauty of the area and the close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and local hiking trails called to me. I stayed a week and was grateful for the quiet guest house and the respectful and gracious hosts. Just an aside: As the hosts note, realize that this is the rural mountains and your cellular phone may not have service. Check with your carrier if this is important….the host cannot “control” this aspect. The Wi-Fi was spectacular and fit my personal and professional needs. Also reiterating that the hosts expect crating of your pet while you are away. Again, this was prudent and not an issue for me. Also bring a flashlight and be cautious outdoors at night. This is bear country and they prowl the neighborhood trash cans at night. All being said, to me, the pros of this modern abode outweighed any concerns.

A very unique and fun place to stay
We really enjoyed staying in the retreat in the hills of north Asheville. It was a very different experience than staying in a condo or hotel room. It was lovely to hear the rain on the roof and to see the bear crossing in the neighborhood. The two bedrooms are separate but open at the top, so not total privacy if that is something you want. The beds were a little firm for our taste but we worked it out. The owners are very kind.

My wife and I had a great stay at Bob’s artist loft. It was the perfect mix of peace and quiet and great convenience to downtown and the parkway, all the amenities you could need. Extra special, ask Bob about his glass shop and antique convertible.

Weekend Away
Very unique property and very cozy. One of the walls is (pretty much) one big window which is really nice. Property owner was extremely friendly and helpful. We brough our 3 year old and 9 month old. Close to downtown/breweries/hiking. It would be a little crowded with more than 2 adults w/ kids, but 2 adults & 2 small kids or 3-4 adults w/ no kids would be fine. It was perfect. 10/10 would stay again!

This was a cozy little place in a great location to Asheville and nearby attractions. It was tucked into a wooded neighborhood which gave that feeling of being in the mountains but still close to the city. Bob was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommend if you are a very small group that likes quiet. Only wish list item would be an outdoor space to sit and enjoy coffee/wine!

Perfect Location
We can't say enough nice things about our stay. The loft was close to everything; grocery stores, restaurants, The Blue Ridge Parkway, The Biltmore, the River Arts District, and the Botanical Gardens. We also had access to several pretty parks where we could walk our dogs. The loft was bright and cheerful, filled with beautiful glasswork, and the beds were very comfy. We also enjoyed the homemade Artisan bread waiting for us when we arrived. My husband enjoyed meeting the artist and touring his studio. Our dogs are older, and stairs are no longer their friends, so we appreciated the walkway to the loft, which gave them easy access, and we also appreciated that it was well-lit at night when we needed to take them out. Thank you, Bob, for sharing restaurant recommendations and your bread recipe. If we return to Asheville again, we will definitely pay you another visit!
