The Space:
Schlaraffenland 1 by Tiny Away is nestled in the breathtaking wilderness of Ashby Heights, just 27 minutes from Bundjalung National Park and 20 minutes from the charming town of Maclean, known for its picturesque rural scenery, historic buildings, and local produce.
The retreat is perfectly positioned next to lush bushland on the edge of a cleared area, with easy driveway access and natural screening for privacy. Near Woody Head, the nearest scenic beach area in Bundjalung National Park. Brooms Head, located on the far North Coast NSW, features pristine beaches, while Back Beach offers a peaceful place for relaxation.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. This includes an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.
If you plan to spend your tiny house NSW getaway here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be a second tiny house sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements. The distance between the two tiny houses is 40m.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and are welcome to explore the property outside the fenced area.
Please note we have four rescued greyhounds, and alpacas will soon join them inside the fenced area. While this is a private space, guests can interact with them and pet the animals.

- Back Beach is located 26 minutes away, offering a secluded, sandy area that is perfect for swimming and relaxing.
- Evans Head is a laid-back coastal town, just 46 minutes away from the tiny home, boasting stunning beaches and great fishing opportunities.
- Bundjalung National Park is a stunning park with diverse landscapes, including rainforests, wetlands, and beaches, making it an ideal location for wildlife spotting and hiking.

By public transport:
We recommend guests travel by private vehicle as there are no direct transportations to our tiny home. If you come from the city like Sydney, you can follow these steps:
- Take a train from Sydney to either Liverpool or Campbelltown, then use a taxi or rideshare to reach Ashby Heights.
- Or you can consider rideshare options for a direct trip from Sydney to Ashby Heights.
Coffs Harbour to Ashby Heights:
By Bus: Take a bus service from Coffs Harbour to nearby towns, then use a taxi or rideshare to reach Ashby Heights.
By Train:Travel by train from Coffs Harbour to Casino, then take a taxi or rideshare to Ashby Heights.
Byron Bay to Ashby Heights:
By Bus: Take a bus from Byron Bay to nearby towns, then use a taxi or rideshare to get to Ashby Heights.
Rideshare: Consider using rideshare services for a direct trip from Byron Bay to Ashby Heights. If you need more details or assistance, feel free to ask!
Other Things to Note:
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- Firewood provided at extra cost $25 and kindling and fire starter
- WiFi is not available. Pet are not allowed
- We have tap water in the tiny house
- No uninvited guests or visitors allowed
- Mobile phone reception has a weak signal
- We have four rescue greyhounds, inside the fenced area
- No smoking inside the tiny home, except in designated areas
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We also ask guests not to feed farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
