"We stayed two nights at The Marquess of Exeter on our way home from the west country. The room was lovely, very comfortable and clean. We ate there both evenings and the food was excellent. Lyddington is a very pretty little village, we enjoyed walking with our dog around by the church and in the countryside. We requested a downstairs room which had the advantage of doors into the gardens, this was very helpful to take our dog outside. The gardens do need tidying up but I expect they will do...

"A lovely hotel where the staff were absolutely wonderful, the kids were over the moon with the biscuits the lady on reception gave us, just a little touch but it was lovely. The room was a little dated but had all we needed and was well maintained and clean which is more important than the era of furniture (think 1990s pine era). The initial lack of signage for the car park had us almost parking out the front in a car park full of pot holes but as we got out we realised the car park was round...

My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland. "
